Honestly my grammar isn't the best and in fact it can be rather poor when it comes down to things like idioms and such. The only reason there might be any "naziing" is when people write things like one of the following (in order of annoyingness):

Hey Guys I Love You All And Totally Think That We Should Go Shopping Tomorrow It Would Be Sooo Awesome! And Then We Can Go To A Movie And Then We Can Have A Sleep Over!!

or

hey gaiizz :D!!! w3 shd totes go sh0pp1n6 2mro!!!!

or

When usernames or titles/lists are not capitalized (i.e bootygurl69, lisa smith, my report on flies and insects) if it is done with an artistic style in mind it can be ok but not if its just negligence.

Of course there is more but thats the worst I can think of atm. Let me set this straight (and I'm know im asking for it) IF YOU ARE USING THE 'SHIFT' KEY, EITHER USE IT CONSTANTLY AND SHOUT OR USE IT AT THE BEGINNING OF SENTENCES AND NAMES. BUT DON'T FUCKING USE IT ON EVERY WORD FOR THE FIRST LETTER!

It makes reading anything an exercise in frustration.

lol u speld grammer rong noob.

But seriously, I'm not really a grammar Nazi. I don't care much until a post becomes unreadable. Though after having spent weeks editing down a novel, I do get ticks when some typos come up.

The best way to remember when to use apostrophes is that the apostrophe separates the two words you are using. They+Are=They're. You+Are=You're.

But the thing that freakin' pisses me off the most is
tYpInG lIkE ThIs.
And capitalization. Seriously, it makes you look 10 years older on the internet. Don't you want that 10-12 year-old escapists?

I always find 'grammar nazis' to be quite irritating. If the intent and meaning is clear, than why bother arguing about proper grammar. It seems quite trivial to me.

And to all you "grammar nazis" out there, I give you our General Patton:

I wouldn't consider myself a grammar nazi per se, but "it rlly bugs me whn ppl can't tk 2 secs too type they're sentances rite".

Seriously, It seems to me that typing or writing sentences the wrong way (see above) takes longer to do then just typing the right way.

Oh and that thing 12 year olds do where they type usernames with messed up capitalization (EpIcPwNeRRRZL0lZ) is annoying too. No one thinks it's cool, it's just moronic.

i get really annoyed by people who think it's their job to enforce formal english on internet forums.
This new idea floating around that 'language should only be taught within school grounds' is bloody absurd. We learn to read, write and speak not only through schooling, but also through the communities that we live in and over the span of our entire lives. It has always been this way and it will continue to be this way for a long time to come. Get used to it.

If I've made a mistake I'd much rather be rudely corrected than politely ignored, because in the end I come out of the situation better off. People who rage at being done this service should consider that maybe their ego is the problem.

I hate it when people seem to think typing on the internet is an excuse to use incorrect English. I wish everyone would remember that the reason for proper language rules is to communicate in a way that is awesome, fun, and clear, and isn't that why we have video games.

The only thing I really take issue with is the misuse of there, their, and they're and to, too, and two.

It annoys me when people write sentences that should be punctuated without punctuation. The reason being that I tend to read things as written, so I find it very noticeable. I don't go out of my way to correct the person unless asked to (such as when proof-reading), but it does annoy me.

Example: "Lets go out and eat grandma!"

Also excessive punctuation in an otherwise poorly structured sentence annoys me, but more in the whole 'I can't take you seriously now' sort of way.

Another Example: "hey guys help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yeah, I guess I'm a typical grammar Nazi... but at least I keep my annoyances to myself. It's not like everyone takes note of the errors, and there's most likely always going to be some, but when it doesn't look like you even tried, you lose all credibility for the post in my opinion. So I may be picky, but I'm respectful about it.

i'm cereal.

I am filled with shame. I shall endeavor to be more understanding. Thank you, Mr. Fry, for showing us the way to enlightenment yet again.

However, typing lik its a txt msg dont u no? Not cool. You might get a pass if you're actually on a phone. Without a full keyboard. And you're in a hurry.
Like, an "I appear to have burst into flames" kind of hurry.
