Well I'm going to buy the game at midnight and hopefully since the release date falls on Veterans Day(I believe) I plan on staying up all night and playing it. My first character is my usual melee hack and slasher who usually isnt all that good because of the unfamiliarity with picking skills. With my second or third playthroughs I usually go mage and thief.

I tend to favour fast moving, bow wielding Dunmer assassins, though I might start off playing a heavily armed and armoured Nord for my first run through.

In all seriousness.
As always I'm just (on the first run through) gonna go with the flow. Do what I think suits the situation the best. I'll probably end up with a bow user with two shortswords (since dual wield is here now, I might as well try it. Though I don't see it as a neccessity, Rather have a shield...). Probably throw in some healing magicks, medium armor, higher athlethics skill and probably armor for the cosmetics. (Not getting hit works wonders for the healthbar)

Decked out with bow as a primary weapon and single dagger when shit gets in my grill (which hopefully it won't as I'm sneaky sneaky)
Light Armour or Dark Clothing
And as soon as I get out of the tutorial area I'll head to an interesting town and set up a base of operations and rob the place till I'm blue in the face and murder anyone who gets in my way

Male Kahjiit while Light armour and dual wielding daggers and being a thief. pretty dissapointed that there isnt an assassins guild this time. probs secong playthrough will be a breton (or some other magical race) mage.

How do you know there isn't an Assassin's guild?
