Probably go out and ignore the main quest for a really long time while I do other stuff in the game. Kind of like what I did in Oblivion.

Dunmer Heavy Armor Thief. First, I plan on stealing a bunch of stuff. Then, I plan on hurting a bunch of stuff. And if all goes well, I'll hurt stuff while stealing stuff. I'm a devious one aren't I?
I found that stealing really helped in the early stages of oblivion, regardless of whether you were a thief or not.
I mean, I could run around in this rusty metal armour, or I could hide in this guys basement and steal all his steel equipment. Hmmmm...

Later: Level one with full (almost) steel armour and weapon set.

It doesn't give you an advantage for too long though.

OT: I don't have any plans. I'll be a warrior, I think, on the first playthrough.

So based on what I wrote, you assumed that I was doing it for advantages? Silly, I stole because I like their stuff! Heck, I might even steal a giant pile of wood for no reason other than I wanted it.

Ah, I know that feel.
That's how I rolled when I tried playing a D&D campaign. Only that I didn't take piles of wood and stuff. I had a bit of a penchant for carrying the severed heads and limbs of my enemies (and people that pissed me off) around in my bag.
Good times. I remember there was this innkeeper who ratted me and my companion out. So we torched his inn.
That was the second town we got banned from.

My first character in Skyrim will be a duel shield Orc. Why? Because if I'm going to play like a confused turtle, I want to look like one!

Wow that's a pretty awesome quote. I wonder if they even let you Dual Shield.

What do I want to do?
EVERYTHING.

Seriously, though, I'm probably going to play a battlemage kind of character. I always liked those.

I won't know what to do until I start, although it will probably involve lots of exploring and skill boosting.

First run through probably play the massive heavy armored, blade using Nord just to keep with the feel of everything they've shown so far. Second run probably use a stealth character.

Well first I'll probably create a basic character and go for a while with him, get a feel for the game. Then I'll start another character depending on how you level up and stuff. My first run through will probably be either a Heavy Armored Dunmer or a Breton BattleMage. I haven't decided yet. After that I'll probably make a character specifically for each guild/quest line to fuck around a bit.

I know that I am incredibly excited for Skyrim to come out. I have never properly played an Elder Scrolls game save a few minutes faffing about with Oblivion at my friend's house, though I have played through Fallout 3. I was reluctant to get Oblivion due to the rate at which Fallout went from fun to boring, however after playing Oblivion a bit and listening to my friend's description of the game in action, which I barely got to see, I decided Bethesda's fantasy-style games are worth trying. Enter Skyrim...

My plans are to play through the game as an Elder Scrolls incarnation of Beowulf. We recently read that story in World Literature in school, and I must say I loved the original tale. I loved it so much, I decided I could be Beowulf, son of Ecgtheow, romping through Tamriel. I figure it will be quite fitting, in fact. The game world of Skyrim looks very Nordic, and Beowulf fights a dragon at the end of the story, after killing Grendel and Grendel's Mother.

So, tell me, Escapists, what do you want to do with Skyrim?
Simple: Everything.

Story-line mainly with a bit of exploring in my first playthrough, as is the norm, for me. And then I'll follow that up with a variety of different playthroughs, be they roleplaying specific character concepts, being completely good/evil, etc, etc.

RPGs follow the same creed I have for every game:
Do everything, see everything, kill everything.

EDIT: But seriously, I'm totally dual-wielding.

Stealth character first, using bows, light armour, probably khajit

then make a warrior character, shield and sword, heavy armour, Orc (only if i dont get to involved with my first character, seeing as there is a huge amount of stuff to do)

I will rape the game until it expires on my Xbox 360 *like oblivion did* than get the PC version. This gave me an overall time of 1000+ hours. However, since Bethesda has stated they "may" allow user created content on the consoles depending on the Sony's and Microsofts wishes, I may not integrate over to PC like I did with Oblivion *Only IF*.

User Created Content made that game so special for me on the PC version.

I will possibly be playing an Imperial who specializes with the Bow, Alteration Magic, and Light Armor with a chance of Medium Armor on Left Shoulder (If they brought back that type of customizability back from Elderscrolls 3: Morrowind, that shit be epic to me).

Male Kahjiit while Light armour and dual wielding daggers and being a thief. pretty dissapointed that there isnt an assassins guild this time. probs secong playthrough will be a breton (or some other magical race) mage.
How do you know there isn't an Assassin's guild?
There clearly is. Dark Brotherhood is confirmed, and every time they're asked about the guilds they say they have the 3 main archetypical guilds, "and maybe another" or similar.

I hope they don't have only 4 guilds though, that'd be pretty crappy. Unless they were truly epic in scope.
