Spy party sounds like fun. Also: I've had more fun with my gamecube than my Wii. That's all I'm gonna say on that subject.

Agree with the point, don't agree with the wording. Yes, the Wii could have used better hardware. Also, it owes much of its success to the relatively cheap hardware it includes.
A more expensive console might be more interesting game-design wise, but it is not necessarily an economically smart option.

The Wii is pretty bad. The technology is underwhelming. But the games are worse. There's casual and there's embarrassing.

But this specifically just comes across as fanboyism or whatever
Really?
Because iv got a ton of Great games on the Wii.
Every system has "Casual" shovel-and embarrassing games.
And the Wii has a lot, but no where near as much as the PS2 had.

OT:Oh well, this is not gonna stop me from enjoying TvC or any of the other great games iv got.
I'm not saying it didn't have fun games. It did.

I guess I'm just not satisfied personally with how the tech itself ended up. I play games like Mario Galaxy and the Super Mario game, and it's still pushing buttons with minor or secondary actions relegated to motion, and at that point I guess I just don't care.
Now that i can agree with.
It is disappointing to see potential the Wii had wasted.
Though games like Metroid Prime:Trilogy and Red Steel 2 are great for showing of what games on the Wii could be.

I like the robotic apology that completely contradicts his earlier point, come ON people, THINK BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING. Not that he shouldn't have said that, he certainly should have, but you have to decide BEFORE you say it whether or not you're willing to live with the backlash

Of course it has some good games, but the ratio of good to bad is TERRIBLE compared to the 360 and PS3

Ehhh, i will admit that it has a bad ratio of good to bad.
But i also think that some of the Wii's best games are 10 times better and some of the 360's or the PS3's games.
But really it all comes down to taste for the most part.

It's pathetic to complain about CPU power. We only have every other game made on every previous console to show that good games can be made despite not being as powerful as the ps3, like Mario Galaxy.

It's true. I mean, with the release of the move an Kinect (which i REALLY want to wish out of existence, stop the motion controls PLEASE!) the Wii is now the worst at what it does best (And for this gift it feels blessed) and what it did was never really a promising concept to begin with. On a side note, the one game that I really wanted for the Wii (Besides Brawl) No More Heroes was released for the PS3 in Japan, but it's never coming to the U.S. because of the Wii. Furthering my hate.

Tech doesn't stop bad ideas and it doesn't help good ideas succeed if they are poorly executed. Dragon Age was not indicative of the full technical capabilities of the console generation it was born into, but it was still a successful and lauded game because it was a well developed and executed idea. Beauty ≠ Quality.

Really I just think Nintendo did cut corners when building the Wii, my computer has more processing power than my Wii, and my computer is a piece of junk...

So who is responsible for destroying what was presented during the 35 minute Spore demonstration?

Also Wii games are very simple and the majority are just games for little kids and parents who are worried their crappy parenting will make their children re-enact scenes from violent movies and games, so therefore buy games that teach kids how to be even more like children and destroy their new LCD TV. Little kids don't judeg games and generally don't know what a "good" game is, they consider waving their arms around run forward to be fun, why not just go outside and run? Personally I think the Wii is stupid and most (most) people who buy it are stupid, and considering pretty much everyone on earth is stupid, it therefore makes heaps of cash because people can't be bothered driving down t the bowling alley.
