Franchises you will defend forever?

I wouldn't physically or verbally assault anyone over any series, but I'm willing to defend the Halo series against accusations that its plot is a simple "aleens aer evul invaderz", as it actually has a reasonably intelligent plot with anti-theistic undertones. As for accusations that it isn't realistic enough, I am willing to defend with "When religious zealot aliens invade the Earth with laser guns, get back to me on how a lack of realism is a serious detriment to Halo."

Basicly this

Star Wars: Battlefront. I will always defend this series and the need for a 3rd game. Well except for the handhelds, they are on their own.

Metal Gear Solid. I really like this series. I even like the handhelds.

My defence of the first two borders on ridiculous, even though Resident Evil probably doesn't deserve the love I give it considering anything outside of the main series is pretty gash and I still love them.

Warcraft the RTS' as Warcraft I was my first RTS and I can still play Warcraft III at anytime.

Shin Megami Tensei Series like some already stated - Persona 4 was probably one of the best JRPGs I have played in a long while.

The only on ill defend for all time is the Elder Scrolls series. Oblivions got flaws, mostly being bugs, and I will hope till the day I die they upload the unoffical patch to the 360 version (or at least untill I can get a PC that can handle the PC version) But even besides Oblivion, Morrowind, Daggerfall and the Arena are all classics and its the only series I can say has continuely reshaped the wheel for western PRG's (the only good kind) with every new game.

Yes the elder scrolls series is one to be admired and ill fight to the death for anyone of bethsesda's recent games ex. elderscrolls fallout....exc, because sure theres bugs but theres also an intricite story line beneath it. and if anyone denies this you'll be killed on site.....this site the escapist

Well not so much the whole series but FFVII. I don't care what you think it may not be the best game ever and I admit that but it is still a good game. You may not like it but it is good and the character all have personalities and the FF7 Cloud from the game is not an emo. Squall is an emo and there is nothing wrong with it. Cloud is a jackass who becomes a hero then an emo in the movie. As I already said it is not the best game in the world as no game can be but it is still s good game that deserves atleast that much. It is like saying Half Life is utter shit..
