Franchises you will defend forever?

None, any series can create a game that will disappoint you. I used to defend the Command & Conquer games pretty hard until I heard about what they were doing with C&C 4. Every change they made to the game was such a complete bastardization of what made the C&C series what it was that I could no longer defend the series.

Mass Effect, KotOR, Half Life (even while valve keeps fuckiing with us poor fanboys) and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (im not counting the 2008 death free one).

And of course my big ol' pet series Mortal Kombat. The last two entries sucked and just like a sonic fanboy im excited for the brand new up todate retread of the original games in glorious 2d.

P.S. one of my friends is a sonic fanboy. he's creepy and we had to restrain him from buying unleashed. Just kept telling him its best he doesn't see it.

For those of you who've actually played it, just think about how fun it was.

Oh and Counter-strike, in all its iterations. From the now hilarious 1.0 to the upcoming beta, CS has never failed me.

I like lots of games, but I will defend The Chrono Series, Shadow hearts Series, Shin Megami Tensei Series,Elebits Series, and a few more with my life. ( I'm a gamer, I have like lots more.

So what about you? ( Also, don't take the thread to seriously...)

Half Life series, the System Shock series (BioShock is an insult to the people who played and enjoyed the SS series), Crytek's version of Far Cry.

I'll defend Shin Megami Tensei to the death. It's the one series that hasn't had a game that's bad. The storylines and setting of each game are unique, deep and dark which you don't find in many RPGs at all. The majority of those that insult the series have usually never played a game and judge on appearances only.

I'll say the same i only have one problem with the series i haven't seen any new persona games other than remakes

Actually Persona 5 is currently being developed for the PS3. So we'll have a new Persona soon.

And Atlus caters to their fans who want the remakes to be made. The remake of the first game was awesome and I'd love to see a remake of Persona 2's Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment as well.
