None, any series can create a game that will disappoint you. I used to defend the Command & Conquer games pretty hard until I heard about what they were doing with C&C 4. Every change they made to the game was such a complete bastardization of what made the C&C series what it was that I could no longer defend the series.

But Atlus didn't make the MMO. They only allowed the developers that made it to use the SMT license. So while it has the name, Atlus still didn't make it so there's no need to defend it.
Plus the MMO takes after Digital Devil Summoner which, while not a bad game, is definitely the worst Shin Megami Tensei game. No surprise it isn't good.
TES and Dynasty Warriors. Not saying I could not be betrayed, hell, I hated DW6E, but otherwise I love all their games of both series and find most hate against either for dumb reasons. (Esp DW which alot of hate aids my theories on the hypocracy of wanting new things in gaming)
Gears of War: Unlikeable yet hilarious characters and I still have the memory of the first time I chainsawed a guy in half... IT WAS GLORIOUS.
