The Half Life series is great, and I'm lumping Portal in with Half Life, because it's set in the same universe.

WoW is a great tool for boredom destruction.

I also don't count Super Paper Mario in the Mario RPGs. It's a platformer. It definitely does not belong in the Mario RPG series.

Let's face it, we all love Phoenix Wright's brand of courtroom epic-ness.

Series I like that are not on my defend list:

Pokemon - I'm not impressed with the new Pokemon designs or moves.
Spyro - I'll gladly defend the PS1 trilogy, but the series went downhill from there.
Crash - Copy-Paste my reason for Spyro.

I would say Starcraft, Zelda and a bunch of others, but based off of recent events, it's hard to tell when companies decide to start pinching every penny that their fanbase has or stops listening to them.

I wouldn't physically or verbally assault anyone over any series, but I'm willing to defend the Halo series against accusations that its plot is a simple "aleens aer evul invaderz", as it actually has a reasonably intelligent plot with anti-theistic undertones. As for accusations that it isn't realistic enough, I am willing to defend with "When religious zealot aliens invade the Earth with laser guns, get back to me on how a lack of realism is a serious detriment to Halo."

Shin Megami Tensei, Pokemon, Half Life, Tales, Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. Now there are black sheep in every family but for the most part their solid.

I would have to say the Ratchet and Clank games, Call of Duty, God of War, Gears of War, Halo, Hitman, Kingdom Hearts. Those are the games I could play all day long. I know they're not perfect, but I still enjoy playing them nonetheless.

Did that become a series? I got Elebits when the Wii came out and I was a lot of fun, ignoring the story and narrator, but I stopped paying attention to Nintendo stuff. Did a new Elebits come out?

I will defend every single game in the Dynasty and Samurai Warriors series to the death. And also, despite the constant growth in the hate of it, I will never give up on defending the Final Fantasy series.

It's regrettable when a company looks at one of your favorite old franchises with no other intention than producing a shallow, marketable, bland game just to wring the last few pennies out of it.
