I may be too late to the party, but this just seemed like too much fun. My story is a little longer, but I have to admit it was fun to ham it up.
Pom Pom is a mushroom; he lives in a magical world where there is no water, only liquid awesome. One day, Pom Pom beat a monster truck with his bare hands; this was not in itself unusual, but what happened afterward: Pom Pom wondered what his purpose in life was. ?Surely it must be more than being the strongest? Pom Pom said to his friend Andy Andouille (a sausage who was nowhere near as strong as Pom Pom), ?surely there is more to life than this.?
?Perhaps,? Andy suggested in the only way he knew how: like a sausage, ?perhaps you should ask Red the pineapple. I hear he is the wisest of all pines or apples.? And so the pair set out in search of Red. They crossed mountains, they crossed deserts, and they crossed oceans (mind you, the oceans were large bodies of salty awesome, which is just like normal bodies of awesome but well, salty); they fought lots of monsters, trucks, monster trucks, and even a really mean cloud. Well, Pom Pom did most of the fighting because Andy, well, Andy?s a sausage.
Finally, in a city at the center of the world (it used to be at the edge of the world, but it was discovered that the world kept going), our pair of adventurers found themselves face to face with Red the pineapple. Pom Pom and Andy had been changed by their journey: Andy was still a sausage and Pom Pom had matured. But Pom Pom?s question continued to haunt him. ?Tell me, Red,? Pom Pom told Red, ?why do I exist? What is the purpose of my life?? Pom Pom felt like his whole life had been leading to this moment.
The sun was setting and the breeze caught Red?s hair. ?It?s simple, Pom Pom. Your job,? Red paused to put on his sunglasses, ?is to be a fun guy.?
