I own a black Wrath Of The Lich King shirt with Arthas on the back that I got from Hot Topic. During the school year I'd walk in with it and at least one or two of my friends would say 'Holy crap nerd! Why don't you burn that shirt?' Neither of them play WoW, or probably even know its a computer game. Why do they hate it so much?
Your friend told you to burn it because it repells all women in a 15 ft radius. He doesnt want to be seen with you wearing one.

because it is popular.
This, also they mightn ot want to be seen with a WoW person, seeing as WoW is practically a synonym for "Women Deflector"
If I saw you wearing a WoW t-shirt I would find every opportunity to talk to you, or the person wearing said T-shirt. I might even jump you for the t-shirt in question.

'Tis not a Woman Deflector.
Marry me?

OT - It does get a bad press from a lot of people who have never played. Not sure why, people seem to assume that if you play it you have no real life/social skills.
Sure ^.~

Actually, hilarious as it is, after I posted it I walked out of my campus' cafeteria and SAW someone wearing a WoW T-shirt[ "Home is where the hearthstone is."] and I totally told him I loved his T-shirt.

I didn't jump him, because I have that T-shirt myself >.>

Some people are cocks because they think they're being awesome by being anti-popular.
Thing is, that's popular too, so they should just die to escape from that popular thing called life, but WAIT, they'd be in that popular thing called death then...

They know I have a life which makes it funny. Oh I forgot to mention I asked one of my friends if they knew what WoW was and they said 'No not really.'
hmmmm. Its a natural instinct for ignorant people to act better than something until they understand it. Not that being ignorant is an insult to your friends, theres nothing wrong with being ignorant. You should try explaining that its one of the most popular games in history? Maybe that might get rid of its stigma.

Those are not good friends, not at all. I've seen that shirt. Not that great of a design, but its interesting. Wear what you want, I say. ^^ So today, in honor of that, I'll wear my 'I Bite Back' T-Shirt, which I got from Hot Topic as well. Go ahead and try telling me to burn it. lol

WoW fans are easy targets, like Twilight fans or Trekkies.

No-one really has much of an understanding of what they're insulting, but everyone else is doing it so now every uncreative dickhead with social insecurities can jump on the back of the latest trend and feel like they're funny.

Don't take any notice, we all have different tastes and they're isn't WoW, although as a person who's never played the game, I personally wouldn't recognise the figure on the shirt as a game character...so they're probably just trying to have the best of both worlds.

most gaming t shirts are socially unacceptable, unless its one of those retro ones ( sonic, mario, space invaders, pacman)
