And so now Portal sits here, with some light burns on his hand, a wasted pepperoni pizza, and another 15 minutes to desperately wait for food. All because his pizza slipped out of his oven-mitted hand and face down onto the dirty floor, ruining his tasty supper. As I sit here waiting on my macaroni to boil, I realized that my luck is just piss-poor at times.

What have y'all been through that made you think that:

A) God hates you?
B) Someone has cursed you?
C) A litter of black cats were born in the same room as you while underneath a ladder storage closet?
D) All of the above?

Update on the Luck-o-Meter: I SOMEHOW managed to nearly cock up making macaroni. Gotta love this day.

Can't say I can relate on this one, you poor cursed soul. I've spent the bulk of my life believing I've been specially blessed by the gods. L is for Luck, and it's simple, you see! It means that good things always happen to me!

An in-game example:

In Castlevania HD, no matter how high my Luck stat is, I still cannot get any of Shanoa's weapons.

So regardless of my in-game luck, my natural bad luck still screws me over.

My luck with RNG on MMO's. For example on Aion, 'Boiling Balaur Blood Stains' drop and they can be sold for a nice amount of money, except the group has to roll on it. I always roll below 20, no matter what. I've only ever got them through solo farming. Oh, and I frequently roll a 98 or something, only for someone else to roll a 99. It happens too much! I've even rolled 100, only for someone else to roll 100, and then win on the re-roll! *sigh* I guess that's why it's called RNG, it's forced me into PvP on MMO's, at least there I can earn my own fucking gear!

Non-game wise, this...

Seriously, why did it bounce at that angle!? Just the other day too I was doing this trick where you do a 1 handed hand stand, and use the other to flick the ball up. What happened? I missed the ball and punched the floor, my middle finger is fucked.

I've also been having trouble with loot in Castlevania HD. I got the Valmanway for my Soma and then the luck fairy just disappeared, waving her middle finger at me as she left.

One very rainy afternoon, I was stuck in my dear friend's house, with nothing to do, except watch some daytime TV. *shudders*
Well, anyway, my friend is a bit of a pot head, so he naturally started smoking some marjuana, seeing as there was nothing else to do. I'm not into it myself, and I have nothing against it, but I HATE the smell of the fumes. So here I was, stuck in a cluttered, smelly bedroom.
I think he copped on a bit though, and wanted to help fix the stink. However, he was a bit intoxicated at this point, so he just sprayed deoderant into my face, and some went into my eyes and mouth. Which wasn't particularly helpful.
So, I run into the bathroom, gasping for air, looking for some water to get the taste out of my mouth. So, i turn on the tap, open my mouth wide... and, too late did I realise, I turned on the HOT water tap and scolded my tongue (I got a few blisters the next day).

The kicker? It was my 16th birthday.

I have horrible luck.
Just to prove it, there was this prize drawing thing at my old school, and the main prize was a 16 gig Ipod touch. So I buy alot of tickets, and, guess what! Some douchebag that already owns an Ipod touch wins it.
Not to mention...
I have had 2 Ipods stolen, (got my first one last Christmas, it was stolen when some d--k broke my gym lock and took it out of my locker during Track practice. The second one was stolen from my track bag (which was right by the track, at least 50 feet from the track and in full view of the coaches) during track practice.)
I have no idea where it comes from, because my parents have average luck.

1. I used to have a love/hate relationship with God. That was... interesting...
II. Not too sure on that one...
C. I can generally guess when that crap happens in video games...
Four. Why can I never remember anything in my life?

Bonus: @Portal Manic: Didn't you recently say that you hate these story threads?

I can have the worst luck at times, but I believe that my Uncle spread his bad luck to the one's he liked the most when he passed. I have had many instances on which it is shown, but I can't think of any at the moment so I'll update this post when I think of the perfect example.

Luck is a positive virus that occasionally infects us all from time-to-time. There's a time and place for awesome references and this isn't it.

OT: Sure, there've been days when I've been cursed by bad luck, but I don't believe in God or superstition or curses.
On the inverse, my GCSE results. Unbelievably lucky...

D) All of the above.

I can't remember all of them, but I am in the wrong time at the wrong place very often.

Well a single event ended up being the cause for the single worst moment In my short life so far.

But otherwise I only ever deal with luck In games, that one critical I coulda used, that 1 In a hundred chance super move I need, those stupid horns that the Blod just doesn't wanna drop.

Well, nearly 30 years of playing D&D and having shitty dice luck has definitely taught me that luck and I aren't ever going to be friends.

As for mac & cheese, I can't tell you how many pots of boiled-pasta I dumped into the sink trying to drain the water out before I finally got my shit together and bought a damned colander.

I happen to be a very lucky individual. Problem is that I never take advantage of it. I'm either lazy or don't recognize a good thing until it's gone.
