But... we can't describe the movie??? I mean, I'm not going to write a bloody plot summary, but...

oh whatever.

To reiterate what I just posted in the movies you think no one else has seen thread:

Bubba Ho-Tep

It's about Elvis and black JFK teaming up against an ancient Egyptian mummy that lives in their old folks home and survives by sucking the souls of the residents' ass holes. And it's actually not a bad watch.

It's not so disturbing to watch, I just keep thinking: Who came up with this? Who cleared the concept with the producers? Who then put this much effort into this?

A Clockwork Orange

That movie freaked me out the first time I saw it.
I love that film. I find it absolutely brilliant in fact :D It's just so different and has such a complex story.

For me anything the Cinema Snob has showed pretty much fits under this catergory.

As for stuff scaring me... most stuff I have been afraid of I've gotten over.

XD I guess one that still scars me is Free Willy just because of my fear of Aquariums an them breaking because of that stupid movie.

I still think Dead Alive, or Brain Dead depending on the title change, is one of the most ridiculously gory and grotesque movies ever made and I had to try really hard to avoid throwing up towards the end of it.
It's been about two years and I still have just barely recovered.
I laughed my entire way through that movie. Yeah it has a bit of an ick factor, but its still damn entertaining to watch.

OT: I watched a three in one Asian horror dvd at one point. The combination of Chinese fetus eating, Korean sadistic torture and Japanese mindfuck left me pretty screwed up for a while. There was also this one masters of horror, with a Japanese girl with a demon spawned conjoined twin on her head that had me yelling WTF at the screen. Seriously, Asian horror films are creepy as all hell.

I don't know why people watch those saw and hostel movies. The levels are off the charts it's like the movie is some sort of gore fetish.

While I tend to stay away from those kinds of films I watched The shining last night and even when it's not showing scenes that are pretty disturbing (Don't deny it, that guy in the bear suit was definitely giving head to the other guy out of shot) the tension and mood that never feels quite right really does fuck with your head.

The human centipede is actually based on a real experiment performed on prisoners in a Nazi concentration camp.
The Nazi's also taped a woman's eyes open, placed a mirror over her breasts, and then cut them off. She had to watch the whole thing because her eyes couldn't shut. Yet you don't see anyone making a movie about that.

And to answer your question, haven't seen any movies that have really have a major impact on me. This is because I am a very squeemish person so I tend to avoid horror and gross-out movies. It's also because I just hate the lack of logic and common sense in these type of movies. Most of the time the scientists don't have any reason to preform the experiment other than pure insanity. Or whenever they make a significant advancement in a certain field of science like genetic modification, their first thought is "oh hey, let's use a human for the next experiment. FOR SCIENCE!!!!!!!!".

Also my brother described Human Centipede as a scat/body horror porn turned into an entire film. I'm guessing that's what it originally started out as. Then the director figured he might be able to wring some money out of the general public through the shock value.
Yeah I think we can all agree the Nazis were all fucked up. And never got laid. Oh yeah, I went thar.

OT: Ewwwwwwwwwwww that lady had to eat that guys...nevermind.

Yes, sure it is. And the movie "Eraserhead" is a documentary on FBI and CIA experiments on the effects and potential use of LCD as a mind control drug.

Although that still seems a lot more probable then what you said.
My TV screen is made out of mind control drugs? AWESOME!
Err... >_<

Fixed! Although in a very broad and rather symbolic understanding of mind control drugs, a television might still count.

Cannibal Holocaust- classic Grindhouse, looks very real as well... some images stay with you
Haute Tension- genuinely suspenseful and multiple fucked up deaths, especially the father. (the ending is bullshit, though...)

Pink Floyd: The Wall- As much as I love it (you can tell by my avatar), some parts are so emotionally and psychologically intense that you'll sit with such interest and disgust at the same time. For instance, the shaving scene, which is even more fucked up if you know the history of Syd Barrett.

Both the House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects have some pretty fucked up scenes of violence and gore. Damn, all the bad memories of those scenes are coming back to me.

I'll holla at that one, with the whole castration scene and what not.
i woulda said hard candy, due to it's subject matter, and it's "castration" scene, but yeah doom generation was pretty effed.
