I didn't get much playtime on Black, and I had a friend telling me it was awful (it was his copy I played). Biased me when he kept pointing out all the glitches and stuff while I was playing it.
What I like about Black in spite of that experience though, sums up all you need to know about the game. I now quote the game's developers when I say "Hollywood-based physics engine".
Another vote for Red Faction: Guerrilla and Prototype as fun games. And one more for Mirror's Edge while I'm at it. I also rather like Afro Samurai. When it's not throwing cheap and nasty boss fights at you. The boss fights in Prototype were its weakest point as well.
As for multiplayer, honestly, Warhawk was good, but I was terrible at it, and joined late, so I got slaughtered pretty fast by almost everyone. War for Cybertron was great, but now that they've released purchasable DLC maps but not altered the matchmaking to compensate, and there's still host migration issues they're doing nothing about, I don't play it any more. Gone back to Red Faction: Guerrilla or not bothering with MP lately. I don't play multiplayer that often, honestly, but I usually quite enjoy it when I do.
Also, in a game, if I get called noob in a game, or accused of cheap tactics, I'll think seriously about whether what I'm doing is fair or not, and stop if I don't think it is.
Of course, the only recent example of someone complaining about me in MP that I can come up with is in Resistance: Fall of Man. And that was from a guy who basically said using the Bullseye tags is unfair. In-game, he was constantly saying "Tagger noob" to everyone who used the Bullseye against him.
When he sent me a message telling me to lower my aiming sensitivity so I didn't need to use tags, I convinced him to join me in a couple of private matches.
The first of these games I demonstrated that he's crap at the game by slaughtering (10-0) with carbines only and no grenades. He called me a hacker, but I persevered, and convinced him to try my second private match.
This one was Bullseye only, and I taught him about why tags are useful. The first thing was to stand us both at opposite ends of a large room, and have him try to kill me without tagging me. So few of his shots were hitting that I literally regenerated to full health between shots. When I was tagged, I died quickly, especially if he tagged my head. Next step was to have him tag me and start firing as I ran around the corner, to show him another reason to use them. Finally, I taught him how to use tags on someone ducking behind low cover.
Then I killed him with a tag bomb and told him to google it instead of explaining, and he started calling me a hacker again.
It was fun.
