I have always been mostly into psychological and horror anime, but now I want to open up to more genres, starting with comedy.
So, what funny anime would you recommend? The story doesn't have to make a lot of sense, and I also don't mind a bit of nudity.
The crazier, the better!

Thanks in advance! ^_^

Lets see... from the top of my head:
Nichijou
Chromartie High School (Dubbed)
Detroit Metal City
Arakawa Under the Bridge
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
Ghost Stories (Dubbed)
Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan
Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? / Is This A Zombie? (I prefer the second season Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Of The Dead, since the first season takes itself a bit too seriously for such a ridiculous premise)
K-ON!
Lucky Star (A bit of required taste)
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Azumanga Daioh (Haven't seen it, but it seems to be a much-watch)
Shinryaku! Ika Musume / Squid Girl
Welcome to the NHK (Gets a bit dramatic at times, though, but still a great watch)
School Rumble
Keroro Gunsou/Sgt. Frog

For laughably bad anime, watch Mars of Destruction. It's one episode, only 20 minutes long, and totally not a hentai, but dear god, every anime fan needs to see this thing.

Angel beats is great. Watch it, laugh, cry, and then spend the rest of your life looking for something like it.

Honestly I found these to be funny.

Clannad. (You will cry more then laugh though)
Little Busters. (More of a tribute to the VN... still good though.)
Angel Beats. (Funny, but also dramatic/action.)
Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! (Also romantic)

Right now I'm watching The Get Backers. Pretty old, but plenty of action and comedy.

Azumanga Daioh
School Rumble
Nichijou

...are the top runners.

You might also want to try Golden Boy, which I personally found one of the funniest fucking things I'd ever seen, but some people might be turned off by the sexism.

I like Gintama.

Its fansubs only and probably wont get an English dub ever. Probably due to its deep ties in Japanese humorism/culture. Even though most of the content can be taken stand-alone and does set itself like that. Its primarily comedic in nature but some turns in the story does make it take a more serious tone without dropping the comedic/satrical aspect its known for. Heck it even give great actions set-pieces that put series who focuses on that to shame.

One Piece come to mind (however it's a really long series).

The only other one I can think is this ecchi anime "Macademi Wasshoi" since you said you can handle nudity (no nudity per say but there is alot of Fan Service which is creepy seeing how the characters are kids!)

I bet you can't work out what's going on from the openning!

Mind you, the plot become WTF at the last few episodes of it (13).

Yes! YES! /M.Bison This is the absolute funniest shit ever created. I agree with watching the dub as well.

That makes two of us, brother :D The first few episodes are admittedly pretty bad, but the funny ramps up to gut busting hilarious proportions soon enough.

Just thinking of the reaction faces of GTO are enough to send me into a fit of laughter.

Also do watch Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Daily lives of Highschool Boys, or Nichibros as fandom calls it)

I'd recommend Puni Puni Poemy [http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/puni-puni-poemi/dvd] and Detroit Metal City [http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/detroit-metal-city/sub.dvd-complete-collection].

You might enjoy some of the better harems. Rosario Vampire, Sekerei, Infinite Stratos, and Air Gear. Most of those are pretty heavy on the fan service, but they are funny if that doesn't bother you. If you're looking for crazy, I suggest Demon King Daimoa. Pretty funny, really doesn't make any sense at all, it's just crazyness in 12 episodes. You could also try Fairy Tail, Princess Lover, Dears, or Kampfer, I haven't seen more than a few eps of those, but they looked pretty funny.

Also, I always have to recommend FMA, Busou Renkin, and Kaze no Stigma. There was another one I was thinking of but I can't recall now.

How about Excel Saga?

The heroine, Excel, has just graduated from high school and is stoked to the point of mania about her first day at work - as a lackey to wannabe evil overlord Ilpalazzo. She is literally too dumb to live, to the point where the universe itself has to keep bringing her back to life just so the story can carry on.

Each episode parodies a different genre of anime, and nothing about the show takes itself the least bit seriously. Japanese cultural in-jokes abound, so unless you're some kind of super-otaku, you'd be well adviced to seek out the out-of-print Imperfect Collection from ADV, which features optional pop-up explainations about the more obscure elements.

I agree with this for action anime, but I tend to prefer comedies when they're dubbed. You lose some of the timing when you're reading a sub and as long as the dub isn't really bad I think you get more out of it dubbed

I loved My Bride is a Mermaid (Seto no Hanayome). It was hilarious, and it is available for free on Hulu.

Gintama, just turn your brain off and accept it. Then turn your brain back on when the kick ass fight scenes happen.

Right off the bat everything mentioned so far especially Kira Must Die's list.

Other than that Pani Poni Dash,it's goofy and fun and has the most pathetic little bunny who is funny as hell. Kind of like Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei(both are from the same studio,Shaft) was even more insane and with out the political undertones.

Baka to Test:Summon the beast,it has some action early on but becomes more of a slice of life comedy with an idiot protagonist. However ever he is not just you're typical idiot lead he is the idiot lead bar none.Everyone knows it and most of the comedy comes from that. Also fair warning, there is copious amounts of delicious trap fanservice to the point of parody.I haven't watched the second season but I've heard it's pretty good.

Irresponsibly Caption Tylor, a parody of the space opera genre where again the lead is a total lucky idiot. Very funny with the added bonus of trying to figure out if Tylor is really that stupid or a chess master extraordinaire.

Hidimari Sketch: to me the best of the cute girls do cute things genre. It's kind of hard to explain why it's so funny so just watch a few episodes to see if it's for you or not.

Finally The Slayers,it's a parody of your standard fantasy setting with occasional serious moments but it's usually just cracking jokes and taking the piss out of what ever tropes it gets it's hands on.Also surprisingly for a comedy it has a very fleshed out set of rules for it's magic system. Has very likable characters and the humor stays sharp for the most part. It has five seasons of anime,5 movies and a smattering of OVA's most of which are enjoyable(avoid the fifth movie Premium unless your a fan of nothing happening and find bad gay stereotypes hilarious).
