I think they've done much worse crap than this before...
To top it all off, that chick's boobs aren't even that big.
I think you're doing more to "set 'us' back" with this rant about a video of a silly super heroine who attacks villains with her boobs than they are with the video. That video didn't even have anything to do with video games. Meanwhile, here's you, having a rant about boobs that sounds on par with Fox News saying that Mass Effect is a porno.Racecarlock said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRKAPmxMx3k
Folks, what can I say? All we've worked for. All the time we've spent trying to prove our maturity. Every campaign, every forum post, every unit of time. They have set us back entirely. Because of this, we're going to have to start all over again, but this time with G4 constantly making fun of our apparent lack of girlfriends and our weight levels and love of cheetos and DND. Yep. Well, we've got 20 years to get back now people, so let's make it happen.
...Racecarlock said:Maybe I don't want to see us all seen as mature so much as I don't want the "Cheetos eating DND playing fat creepy guy" or "Racist sweary 13 year old sqeaky boy" stereotype thrust back on to us like an old rag full of toilet water, and it seems like g4 is doing all it can, subconsciously or otherwise, to bring that stereotype back at full force and want to reduce gaming as it is back to something considered as a complete waste of time. Now, I don't want to found a nation either, but the anti-gaming people are gonna use this crap as ammo against us one way or another. They'll say it is only for kids and nerds and therefore shouldn't have controversial material in it and will try to ban all those games and we'll be right back where we started.
This. There is no "we" or "us" in the first place.Sir John the Net Knight said:Let's stop pretending there's a gaming culture, we're just people who share a hobby. When you start using words like culture it just seems pretentious and uppity. I just wanna play games, I don't want to found a fucking nation or some shit.
Quoted for truth!LeonLethality said:I love you for this post, I hate how people think a common hobby is a culture, especially since our "culture" seems to be at a constant war with each other over our choice in consoles or games. Do people who collect stamps want to stand out because they have a hobby? Do they insult someone over a certain stamp they like? Heck no.Sir John the Net Knight said:G4 is a channel for gamers and nerds? Then why does every gamer and nerd hate that channel? Thanks for being someone smart on these forums dude. Even if you get a lot of hate for it.
Pretty much. G4 is a joke now other than Sessler's Soapbox and Feedback. Adam Sessler handles the site so you can find some decent content on there. As for the television shows... shit's been going downhill ever since techtv got bought out.icame said:This might be true if anyone took G4 seriously...

i support all those decisions, except the x-play part. but i agree, g4 is irrelevant. i havent watched it in over 4 years...in fact until this thread was posted, i didnt even know g4 was still on the airWorldCritic said:Come on, people stopped caring about G4 when they canceled Arena/ canceled Cheat/ made X-Play more serious/ fired Olivia Munn.
thank god that no one does. this would become a huge disaster if people actually watched G4.icame said:This might be true if anyone took G4 seriously...
Real maturity comes when you no longer feel the need to prove it. That's how we know gaming culture is not quite there yet. When the real maturity happens, everyone will just be able to shrug off stuff like that.Racecarlock said:All the time we've spent trying to prove our maturity.
