G4TV, what happened to you?

What happened to G4? It used to be one of the best channels out there. Nowadays however, the only shows worth watching are Code Monkeys and The Office reruns.

Remember how it was before it got overhauled? X-Play still actually reviewed games (With Blair Herter thankfully offscreen), there was a show dedicated to cutscenes called Cinematech, and even Attack of the Show was better.

Nowadays, I can hardly ever watch the channel. Its biggest selling point is of course X-Play, but today's X-Play is nothing at all like 2002-2005 X-Play. Reviews are hardly ever on the show anymore, Blair Butler is an idiot, and they got rid of all the funny sketches that made the show memorable.

X-Play is not supposed to be a news program, that is what EP Daily is for.

I want the old G4TV back. Does anyone else?

And seriously, Xplay used to be highly literate, funny and off the wall. Now it is just stupid with the beautiful Morgan being put in a corner.

And The Office reruns..what does that have to do with tech tv. Also, Code Monkeys is HARD to get in Canada now as well.

I do.. but when I get that craving, I just go to the G4 website (g4tv.com) where there is a ton of actual game related content. Reviews, previews, interviews, game discussions between people who actually *gasp* like and play games, etc. It really is good stuff and will quickly make you forget about the state of the TV channel.

And Mr. Stark is a Halo biased moron who bashes any FPS that isn't a AAA title.

Yes, both of those people are horrible. I especially hate 'T squared' since he always, without fail, pointlessly repeats everything! The bastard is so damned annoying!

I miss X-play's couch, Bob and Steve, and the times when the majority of the show was actually spent reviewing games...

Even a fine piece of ass like Olivia Munn couldn't save that show.

I hold Adam Sessler, however, to a much higher caliber than the rest of G4's network.
The way that man knows how to discuss gaming issues... incredible.

Finally, I will miss you, Cinematech. Nothing excited me more than being able to plop down in front of the television and watch cinematics of games. You are gone, but not forgotten.

I don't get it in my apartment, but when I watched it back home with my brother, it was always about that weird ninja competition (forgot the name, sorry). Do they still show that?
I remember watching Xplay a few times a couple of years ago. Wasn't bad, but nothing I couldn't find online either...
