G4TV, what happened to you?

I never had the chance to watch it in "the good ol' days" but now that I have the chance I still don't watch it because all they play is GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKING COPS AND GOD DAMN MOTHER FUCKING CHEATERS.... Excuse me. It irritates me when mah gaming channel tries to be Fox.

Yeah I miss the old X-Play soooooooo much. I thought one day why they changed, because as I recalled, it was a video game review show, not a video game everything else with the one review an episode show.

EDIT: I still love Adam Sessler. He's so cool and funny. Only reason I'd consider watching the new X-Play, cause I just stopped from the change.

1.Cancel cops and cheaters
2.Bring back Cinimatech,Code monkeys,Filter(video game viesion),Cheat and starcade
3.Put on Game Damage
4.Profit

What happened to G4? It used to be one of the best channels out there. Nowadays however, the only shows worth watching are Code Monkeys and The Office reruns.

Remember how it was before it got overhauled? X-Play still actually reviewed games (With Blair Butler thankfully offscreen), there was a show dedicated to cutscenes called Cinematech, and even Attack of the Show was better.

Nowadays, I can hardly ever watch the channel. Its biggest selling point is of course X-Play, but today's X-Play is nothing at all like 2002-2005 X-Play. Reviews are hardly ever on the show anymore, Blair Butler is an idiot, and they got rid of all the funny sketches that made the show memorable.

X-Play is not supposed to be a news program, that is what EP Daily is for.

I want the old G4TV back. Does anyone else?

The problem is G4 Techtv was the best, it used to be the only thing i watched on tv. G4 is garbage now and it is unfortunate.

I liked AOTS when Sarah Lane was co-host. She actually knew what she was talking about. Then she left and they replaced her with BimbOlivia Dumm and the show started on a downward spiral. It used to be funny and informative then it became nothing but dumb youtube clips and "Hey! Look at Olivia! She's pretty!" over and over. I quit watching after the 1000th episode.

Sidenote: When you people say you hate Blair Butler, do you mean Blair Herter?

Yes, sorry, its easy to mix the two up.
No, when Blair Butler made a little cameo every now and then to review comic book games, it was great. but Herter is a moron.

What's up with all the love for Adam Sessler? I hate him! He's the reason I quit watching x-play. He hates all rpg's, and was always bashing republicans and fox news while reviewing a game. If I'm watching a game review, all I want to hear about is the game. Keep your other opinions to yourself!

I miss when X-play would do a skit every episode. It seems like ever since it changed G4 has been going down the tubes, I still enjoy Attack of the Show but its probably only a matter of time until it becomes unwatchable.

Okay, I'll say it; Olivia Munn is disgusting. I cannot fathom why she's considered talent since she's just the token chick (I didn't say tits.... but I was thinking it) on one of the most poorly named, pointless tv shows on air, and she's not even very good at that. Frankly, I never cared for G4, and was sorry when they gobbled up techTV. X-Play would be fine without Morgan Webb, I do like Sessler a lot, but other than that G4 is just tired reruns and horse crap nerd humor. Martin Sargent was a cancer, Laura Swisher was my hero (bring back the Swish, dammit!!!), and last time I saw the channel Kirstin Holt was still cringe-worthy, and they had a show about judging the hottest video game females that lasted something like 2 episodes. Happy Tree Friends? Do they not think their target demographic has the internet?.

They even have pop up ads, FFS POP UPS ON TV! I'm trying to watch a review and 2/3 of the screen is covered up or smooshed vertically to remind me every five minutes that they're rerunning Star Trek TNG?!

I think this is why I stopped watching tv. They dropped a nuke on my favorite channel and basically only Adam Sessler survived. Maybe I'll watch some soapboxes to cheer me up...

Tech TV was good back in the day.

I learned some cool stuff from Call for Help.

I watched robot wars more than I should admit "but hey i was a kid ;-P"

Attack of the show was never that great imo, but its really interesting how G4 constantly promotes the show as its flagship title. If any thing the best thing on G4 is Xplay.

They need to bring back the interns and have Adam sessler and Morgan webb hosting again. Cut all the other people imo. Bring back the couch !

i still enjoy x-play but i dislike that they only review 1-2 games instead of 4-5, I never got to see any of the old attack of the show but i think it is still pretty good, I also like ninja warrior and unbeatable banzuke, i dont really like much else though like web soup there are way to many internet shows like that already so why do we need another one

Not G4, Tech TV. Bring back the old TechTV shows, stop showing reruns of Cops 20 hours a day, talk about technology for more than 15 seconds, keep Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke, and dump everything else down a pit, especially Kevin Perrera, Olivia Munn, and AOTS.

Yeah, I remember the old days. Arena, Cinimatech, X-Play was good, G4TV.com was even interesting. Heck, they had so many random shows on there, and I loved them all. They were all mostly gaming shows, they all had some sort of technology and video game reach....it all was good. Then, the conversion completed. Suddenly, Cops and Cheaters was on ALL THE TIME. Rarely was anything gaming on. AOTS quickly became more gimmicky by the second, and soon barely any reviews were getting done on XPLAY, my one time favorite show.

Before, I fought to have the premium package with my parents just to have that channel. Now, with my own TV to worry about, I don't even care that I cannot even see that channel. It has fallen so far I don't even care what is on it anymore.
