I think the Victory Pack was a quasi-Specre pack. I got a Gruul Shotgun and some other goodies in it.

As for the Commendation pack, you get it if you were in a Silver Match against Reapers and at least one person on your team was extracted. In that one you get one of the N7 weapons from the collectors edition and some medi-gel/survival packs/rockets/thermal clips.
Thanks dude, but how many Commendation packs are we allowed to get? I managed to finish (w/ full extraction) around 10 reaper/silver missions.
I think it's just one unfortunately.
Thanks for all the clarification, guys.

Some actual gameplay discussion is inbound!

Right so my two friends both got a Quarian Infiltrator. Abuse of Sabotage on Geth let us cruise through Gold easier than we suspected. Thoughts?

I played as a Turian Sentinel with an assault rifle and shotgun as rear flank for the match btw.
Quarian Infiltrator and the Salarian Classes both make Geth a joke, no matter WHAT difficulty. But if I might make a suggestion, what I did with my Infiltrator, I gave it a Sniper Rifle and a Shotgun. If you fully charge a Geth Shotgun and do a shot from being Cloaked, you'll almost one shot a Ravager. It's REALLY handy if those bastard sneak around you on Firebase White.

Was Goliath a success? Because I didn't get any special pack, and I killed at least 1 Brute
It was a roaring success. We killed over 3 million Brutes. And did you get an Exac from a Silver Rank Reaper mission? Cause that's how you qualify for one. Otherwise, it might have something to do with regional or timezone staggering.

I was cautious about the multiplayer because I was a firm believer that Mass Effect 3 should have only been a single player game.
Same here but it is surprisingly fun

Salarian engineer is my fav at the moment.Energy Drain is great for taking down enemy shields and restoring your own and Incinerate is handy against armoured enemies

The randomness of the upgrade system is a bit of a pain though.I've unlocked plenty of pistol, shotgun and sniper rifle upgrades but only one assault rifle upgrade and AR's are my preferred weapon.Only gotten 2 other non-human characters as well

Goddamn! I hate when that happens cos usually the only reason a Ravager can sneak around me is when I'm getting bugger'd by the freakin BANSHEES!

I'm Commander TakeshiLive, and I approve of the use of the Geth Shotgun!

The multiplayer isn't bad, I enjoy it. I just wish it were deeper. All in all, it is fun in small spurts but the gameplay is really shallow. It could be I am more a fan of missions than horde mode.
More events like Operation Goliath would be nice, hopefully they'll add more objective types in the future to balance the horde mode like straight up killing that it is now.

My personal favorite class (would be) Drell Vanguard with the Carnifex pisol and the Claymore shotgun. Unfortunatly im stuck with the Drell adept for now.

It's REALLY nice considering the deceptively tight spread of the Geth Shotgun. If you nail a headshot with it, you'll see things just melt in front of you.

I've got all the characters EXCEPT the Asari Adept, which I'd REALLY like to have. But they already said to expect more Operations coming up in a few days or weeks.

QUESTION - I've noticed that on certain or most non-human playable characters appearance customization screens players have the option to customize their character's skin tone, does anyone know what this actually does? Im guessin maybe you can change the color of your character (Like having a purple Asari instead of a blue one) or add face paint like the turians, salarians, asari etc. Can anyone clarify this?

Engies are the Overlords of Destruction in the Game, anything that comes across their path of destruction gets wrecked into oblivion, I love Engies.

If ye want headshot material, try out the Spike Launcher, it's probably got the smallest reticule for a shotgun and power that'll give the Geth Shotgun and Claymore a run for its money.

It's like a crude Krogan rifle thing.

All about the Quarian engineer boys. spawn a turret that you have upgraded to fire rockets to cover your flank. Then you whip out your sniper rifle and pull off those head shots.
I am really annoyed that I have no Krogan soldier at the moment I seriously want one, then again I cant really complain as I was REALLY lucky and unlocked the Black Widow and Falcon rifle. Nothing like punching a hole right through those stupid Cerberus guardians shields with the Widow. then doing it again another 2 times before reloading.

Human Vanguard and Human Soldier are my classes. I play on PC, same name as here.

I really like the Soldier Battlefield 3 as well, as he gets carnage instead of that girly concussion shot, but eh, does he look ridiculous or what.

I hate the fact that there is so much random content. I mean I got a damn pistol in commendation pack. What use is the pistol for me? I don't use pistols!

Then there's the fact that I got Drell Vanguard / Asari Vanguard like 5 times now, AFTER I'VE MAXED VANGUARD. Damn you Bioware/EA.

Also, I wanted to buy Bioware points but EA ate a dollar and said no.
Concussive shot is an OP skill, it will stagger any and all enemies that can be staggered, with the exception of Banshee.

Carnage is pretty cool for dealing fire damage, but I still rely on Concussive more.

Drell Adept. Favorite class by far: biotic detonations are way too much fun.
I also really enjoy playing as Krogan; meleeing everything to death in a blood rage while cackling maniacally... makes me feel all fuzzy inside.
I do also enjoy the human engineer for the well roundedness. It's not something I'm often dying to play, but it's a very good support class and easily stands on its' own two feet if necessary. Plus, a Brute trying to take on a combat drone is utter hilarity.
Aaaaand finally, I just unlocked the Turian soldier last night, but so far I'm really loving it. I have a thing for Turians... and also proxy mine... Put them together and I'm in heaven.

Origin name is Trippid. I have off nights where it feels like I can't shoot to save my life, but we won't talk about that.
I'm down for playing whatever, whether that's having a good time tripping over swarmers, or knocking banshees around on gold.

It just gives you an array of pastel skin colours to choose from.
Turians can be a darker brown, more yellowish, etc. (No face paint option).
Asari can be differing shades of purple and blue, and with the pattern option you can choose the colour/one of two styles of facial markings for the character.
Quarian is hardly noticeable if I recall, changes the tone under the helmet, so it's bearly distinguishable.
Salarians offer more pastel shades, redish browns and lighter tones.
Krogan can be differing shades of brown/yellows. Unfortunately the crest colour always stays red.

I agree....I hope they make a mode similar to Left 4 Dead...soo basically a Co-op campaign/mission mode with variable objectives.

Xbox GT: PinoyForce10
Favorite class: stuck between Asari Adept, Krogan Soldier, Turian sentinel, and any Engineer.

Is anyone else not promoting their characters when they get to the level cap? I just have no desire to do it. I might do it when I replay the main game, but I don't see the advantage of starting over from scratch now. And that's especially true since I've found a ton of respec cards so I'm not tied down to a build if I find I'm not happy with it.

When you do promote a character, do all the characters from that class restart as well?
yeah, all the characters in that class get reset. You keep all your customization options, but they're reset to default. Kind of annoying if you had a theme going and can't remember what goes where.
Yeah, then I'm definitely not promoting anyone until I play the main game again.
They ARE worth about 75 "points" in the War Assets, so there's that.
Mehhhh, that's really not that much. I'd have to promote (and therefore, start over with) a ton a classes before it made a difference. Not worth the hassle.
well, you also get 10 to your N7 level. So if THAT'S a big deal to you, there you go.
Nah, can't say I care about the N7 number at all. I guess I'll cap out at 120 then (I'm at 100 now).

Actually the Crusader has the smalled reticule for Shotguns. Shoots a single projectile instead of pellets

That's a gold/rare weapon I presume... cos I haven't even seen one before.

Is it good? I haven't had time to check the rewards.

It's heavy as tits, it's as strong as the Evicerator, fires a single slug exactly where you're pointing, and can fire through light cover. It's a great weapon.
