Turning from the communications officer, Galt decided he'd take a stroll down below deck, after all, he was supposed to be supervising things out here wasn't he?

He found the computer lab door ajar and let himself in. He noticed blood dripping from Killion's hand. "Ha-ha, welcome to the club!" he giggled as he slapped Killion's back with his bad arm, a decision he immediately regretted as he clutched his hand. The technician appeared to be in a good deal of pain, but Galt took interest in the computery-looking pile of green and brown boards on the desk. "So, how's the old girl coming along? You still working on the same little board? How long can this take! You've had all week!" Galt turned and noticed a tiny chip resting in a growing puddle of blood.

"Ah for Christ's sake! Get yourself wrapped up, we can't have you bleeding on our parts out here!"

OOC: Thanks for the complete roster Easykill, makes getting the names right easier.

Current status of the ship: Sealed in ice (yeah, it froze/shifted around you), radio works(but you never know who, if anyone, will be listening), and you've got repair parts in the hold. Food and fuel stocks are still good since you're early in the voyage. Oh, and don't worry about acting out conversations or adding your own sub-plots, just keep it reasonable. I've only got a vague idea of what is even going to happen in the next few days so it's pretty open, I'll just find a way to tie it into the main plot later.

Wow, for a page with no real drastic development, it takes a hell of a long time to read. Could we cut it down a noch, please? It's really annoying having to spend 5-10 minutes reading a couple posts.

Oh well I knew if I slacked off for two days I would have some catching up to do. Glad it didn't go any farther

Tsurugi paced. It was what he did when he needed to think. His job on the ship required him to always be moving, quick on his feet in case something went wrong. It gave him plenty of time to think, think about how much he wanted to be in the Med Clinic doing Ivan's job instead of his own. Well now here he was in the Med Clinic where Ivan left him to look over the Captain. The man wasn't dead, he didn't appear to be suffering from anything, and he didn't look like he was in need of any medical attention.

He stopped his pacing, sighed and pulled over a sliding chair. Sitting down he looked over at the unconscious man in the bed. It was wrong to think but Tsurugi kind of wished that this man did have something wrong with him, something that he could try and fix. However if that was the case Ivan would not have left him in Tsurugi's care.

Tsurugi's thoughts drifted back to the crash they had felt when they had gotten into the Sick Bay. The whole ship was vibrating as it had come to an abrupt halt. It probably meant that they had run aground on some ice, and he wondered how bad the damage to the ship was. He forced down a moments panic at the thought that he was going to die. The course of action that he wanted to take was to go and find out what was wrong and help where he could, maybe with the injured.

What he wanted to do didn't matter though as he was put in charge of watching the captain and making sure he was safe. Moving closer to the bed he took another quick look over the man for any signs of injury. He then checked the Captain's pulse and found it to be beating regularly. With nothing else to do Tsurugi slid himself over to Ivan's desk and began reading one of the books that was laying on top.

After Killion discerned that the ship was not in fact going to sink, and that most of it's systems were working, he began to allow himself a sliver of hope. The chances that anyone they actually wanted around would find them were low, but it was there. That is, if the saboteur didn't interfere. Killion didn't know the guy, but the pilot was one of the few people on this goddamn ship with a reputation as a steady guy. He wasn't the type to get doped up on the job. Whoever it was that drugged the Helmsman knew damn well what he was doing, and now that Killion knew he was there, the failings of the AI seemed a bit to coincidental. Sure, there might be simpler explanations, but this all smelled very much like corporate conspiracy to Killion, and he figured that he should know. Someone, somewhere, was profiting from this.

All of a sudden Killion felt the rough but weak slap on the back and was startled by Galt talking to him. Killion looked around. He'd wandered to the computer lab in his thoughts it seemed. Habit really was a great force, to send a man to a place he hated so even in the moments of his revelations of probable and near death.

"...You've had all week!"

Wasn't it strange that only when it no longer mattered that the chance he'd been looking for finally arrived? The AI had lost it's importance. Galt no longer mattered.

"...can't have you bleeding on our parts out here!"

Killion looked down and saw the forgotten wound bleeding profusely and immediately felt a surge of pain, shattering his existentialism. "Goddamn cartoon physics," Killion growled. "Excuse me, Mr. Galt, I think I'm needed in the med bay."

Galt seemed to be in far too much amusement over Killion's expression to respond, so he left quickly; stopping at his personal workshop to grab a towel to staunch the bleeding. When he got to the the bay, however, Ivan wasn't there, and Tsurugi sat in his seat watching over the pilot.

"Hey, Tsurugi, as long as you're playing the doctor there, Could you wrap up my right hand? I'd do it myself, but it I think the pain would make me wrap it too lightly. Umm... Don't worry about the shards though. I'll get the doctor to take them out later, that's real precision work I think."

Looking at the still worried faces, Michael began to get scared to. He knew he need to react and fix this soon though.

"Okay everybody we have to priorities! We need to find out what happened to the pilot and fix the hull! Kris is already down there working on it, I want Colvolt to go down and help him out! Jim you need to go to the radio and attempt to make contact with the outside world!" Michael started shouting. "Does anyone know where Killion is? I need to ask him to check out the computer systems to make sure they are all fine, and someone needs to find Chris and see how the helicopter is." After making his orders clear Michael knew what he had to do next.

He needed to check on Galt. If anything happened to him they where all fucked. He was the expedition. He was the Judge, Jury, and Executioner. Michael hurried towards him and thought of a slight problem. Galt had to come so his financial crimes weren't exposed. If that damn reporter files a story about a pilot on the boat getting drugged, it could ruin all of us.

"Sir are you okay? The crash didn't harm you did it" Michael asked Galt in a worried tone of voice when he finally caught up to him.

Just as he reached the wheelhouse, Ivan noticed the chaos on the ship. The crew was moving about, rushing from one part of the ship to another. He climbed back down to the deck and moved forward, where the greatest concentration of crewman was now dispersing. Finally he understood what happened.

Now that he knew that there was plenty to worry about, Ivan decided that he has to do something. Knowing that someone probably hurt themselves when the ship was violently stopped, he would first have to check the sick bay. After that, perhaps it would be wise to get some food. Ivan was hungry, after all. And he wanted herring.

Jimmy had successfully backed out of the circle without notice, he was feeling good about it; as although he enjoyed being the center of attention right now he felt like it was one of those occasions where people would be slow to forgive him- if ever -for his tomfoolery. With a quick glance across the commotion of the deck Jimmy decided that this was exactly where he didn't want to be. Everyone else here seemed to know what they were doing, so he decided that he should do the same and retreated to somewhere where he would know exactly what he was doing. With all possible speed Jimmy retreated back to the safety of the kitchen to resume cleaning up dishes and preparing for lunch. After all, even in a crisis people still needed to eat.

"...And so we commit you to your maker, may you rest in peace, ashes to ashes, dust to dust," Shanks mournfully tossed the broken shards of vodka bottle off the deck, "Amen," wincing as he heard the tinkle of them hitting the frozen sea below.

Following the bizzare crash, the crew had been scrabbling about, sailors doing nautical things, engineers doing mechanical things and Chaz grinning idiotically. The only person to take heed of the drunken reporter was the Captain, who Quentin observed giving him a nasty death stare. Yes, because you have a reporter onboard, its his fault you get stuck in ice. You poor, moronic sea dog, grow a brain. Wouldn't be surprised if this mess is due to your negligence.

Remembering he had missed breakfast, Shanks stepped out of the biting cold and into the the canteen, slumping down at a bench, glad of the spare hip flask.

"Jimmy, any chance of a bite to eat?"
Jimmy looked up from the pot he had been cleaning. "Yeah sure. Any time for you Shanks." Doing a quick rehash of some leftovers from breakfast he produced some scrambled eggs and bacon on toast.
"Sorry but its cold. That said, everything seems to be cold out here." He smiles at his own wit.
"Heh, Jimmy, you ever thought of going on that Television thing?"
Jimmy smiled.
"What, to cook? Or just be plain good looking?"

Looking at the less than appetizing food, but feeling the need for grease, the reporter tucked in. Finding out about this damn fool accident can wait for later.

Chris returned to the cabin. "Did you guys miss me?"
He walked around in hopes of finding something to drink.
"Oh,and by the way, We're trapped. The helicopter tipped over and it won't be flying anytime soon. So, if you guys have sled dogs around here, or anything for that matter, please let me know."

"Who died and made you leader round here Mikey? Galt's still kickin', so it can't have been him!" Jim shouted. Shaking his head and turning back to the radio, "Eh, forget it." He muttered under his breath.
Jim flipped the cold metallic switch of the radio to turn it on and the group stared at him like it should never have been off.
Jim Shrugged and looked back at them: "WHAT? Sometimes I need a nap and I don't want the cries of a lonely, stranded lifeboat hurting my ears." Jim shouted. "Pain in the ass."
Jim twisted the dial through all the frequencies and his face started to go white. Nothing but static, everywhere.

Jim flipped through all of the instruments turning them on and off and frantically turning the frequency dial.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" Someone asked.

"What's wrong with me?" Jim said, and chuckled "We're all gonna die."

Tsurugi bit down on the snide remark he was about to say to Killion realizing it would get him nowhere and walked over. Taking some bandages from one of the shelves he began to wrap up Killion's hand as gently as he could manage.

"So whats going on up there?" He had heard that talking distracted the patient so they didn't notice what you were doing, especially if you screwed up. He didn't entirely believe it because they still probably felt the pain but he wanted to talk anyways. Since he was stuck here until Ivan came back the only way he could find anything out was through any of the people who came in for help.

"Nothing much has changed. The ship is stable. Most everything works, even if we can't move. We leave this place and we'll just die, so I figure we'll just try to wait this out and hope someone gets close enough to pick up our distress signal on the radio." He paused for a moment to look down at the bandaging process. "The captain's up on the bridge handing out orders still. Captain? Captain of what? I don't think he gets that what he says is no longer of any particular value, people will just do what they want to now. But, that might not be such a bad thing, y'know. There's no need for a ships discipline here anymore, we might as well let people do what they wish."

Tsurugi finished wrapping up the bandage and taped it down. "You should see Ivan about the shards and get that cleaned out as soon as possible." He put the bandages down on the shelf and then started back on their earlier subject, "But if people are free to do what they want won't that breed chaos? I think the Captain is trying to do his best to keep things together in a bleak situation."

Just then Ivan walked in through the door, paused and gave Killion a look over. Tsurugi looked towards the door, "Anyways I bet we both have things to do out there so you should get Ivan to finish fixing you up."

Chaz looked offended as he loomed over Michael. "If the boss 'ad been 'urt" he admonished "I woulda noticed. An' that, is cos I am his personul bodyguard." He eyed the smaller man as if he was a naughty child. "So's" he continued, "I assure you, that the boss is in quite capab... cap... able hands." he sniffed and resumed glaring around at anyone nearby. He liked glaring.

After falling flat on his ass and hitting his head on one of the lower cabinets of the kitchen Celd felt the back of his head to check the damage. There was a small knot but no blood. He then rose from the floor and sprinted for the wheelhouse to receive his orders, It feels like we hit some thicker ice than this tub could handle. Celd thought on his way. When he finally made it to the wheelhouse he snapped a weak salute to the captain and put his hands behind his back awaiting orders.
Sorry if the is fairly sloppy first attempt at an Rp on here and all and I donno how to make it say OOC not spoiler.

Jimmy looked on at Shanks as he ate. Soused before 1:00 PM. Yep, the more he talked to him the more he decided that he really liked the reporter. It wasn't really because he was an alcoholic, it was because he was the first really person that Jimmy had met on this ship; the only one who really seemed up for a pleasant yarn. Most of the others were too serious; or foreign.

"So Shanks, in all seriousness, what sort of scoop are you actually hoping to get out here? Some sort of fashion report on the new white?" He flashed Shanks with one of his a-typical naughty child smiles. "And, you get down with the gossip pretty fast, any idea whats actually happening up on deck. I was too afraid to ask."

Looking at the reporter Michael became angry. The way that man looked at him.
He probably did this to get a good story. Try his hand at a Pulitzer. Bastard.

---"Who died and made you leader round here Mikey? Galt's still kickin', so it can't have been him!"---
"I am Captain of this boat and while I am Captain I will try my best to get us the hell out of here!" Michael replied.

How are we suppose to get out of here if the people don't even trust me.

---"I assure you, that the boss is in quite capab... cap... able hands."---
"I am sorry to undermine you. I didn't mean to. Of course you are taking care of him!" Michael said with a straight face.

Michael then continued to walk around hoping people would still listen to him, because if total anarchy rained then they would all die no matter what.

You are right sorry
Yes I am the captain. Look it up in my character sheet.

As Ivan entered the sick bay, he noticed Killion and Tsuragi apparently taking part in a medical procedure. Muttering something about amateurs, he sat down in a chair, next to his operating table and motioned for Killion to follow and take his place on the table. As the other man sat down on the table, Ivan looked over the wound.

With a heavy German-Russian accent he said "I've seen worse back in my days in the army. Some quick surgery and we'll have those shards out in no time at all." As he unwrapped the hand, he got an uneasy feeling.

He looked over to Tsuragi and told him "What's your name, I'm sorry, can't remember, I would appreciate it greatly if you'd go down to the kitchen and bring as much oil and alcohol here as possible. They will be of great use to us later, so we must conserve them."

With a frown, he looked back at Killion's hand. Muttering that this won't hurt a bit, he took a bottle of Vodka and poured some of it over the wound. Obviously, this action hurts very much. "For Desinfecation" Ivan muttered, cheerfully.
