Game characters you were pleased to see die.

Maybe I wasn't pleased to see him die, but I didn't care at all about Sgt. Paul Jackson from CoD4. I'm not gunna put this in a spoiler becaue CoD4 is like 3 years old. He dies from the EMP of a nuke and you play as him crawling out of his helicopter in a "NOOKS R BAD" protest.

I wasn't pleased to see him die, but he was so hard to relate with I was happy because it meant I could play as the SAS.

Dude, you mean radiation poisoning. You can't be "killed" by the EMP(electro-magnetic-pulse) unless you're an electronic device.

Ah, touche. He *was* in a helicopter that was brought down by the EMP, however, so I'm sure that did some damage.

Plus radiation poisoning.

PLUS: they made a Final Fantasy X-2 that is all about tryin to get him back (I need to play it), so it's kinda a clue that something happens at the end of the first one... I mean, in anime the guy never gets the girl, comes close, but never suceeds

God, he was so lame, yet still the game was shoving him in your face like your mother who wanted you to talk to that only other kid at a party your parents had to take you to. Sacrificing him was the quickest decision I ever made in an RPG game.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Choosing for Ashley to stay alive and for Kaidan to die was one of the easiest decisions I've ever had to make in a video game.

Jessica in Saints Row 2. The fact that you managed to get Maero to kill her (her boyfriend and leader of a rival gang for people who don't know who she is) and the fact that she did what she did to Carlos. I was genuinely upset when you had to shoot him to put him out of his misery.

Ooh, and also Mr. Sunshine from the same game, your characters reaction is so funny the third time he gets up ("Oh for fuck's sake, die!" in a cockney accent)

I don't know if it was the EMP or just the plain shockwave but yeah, I'll give you that. But he did end up collapsing from the radiation poisoning, or at least that's what the game was trying to insinuate.

HIDE AND QUAKE IN TERROR!!! That shit was deplorable, friggin' Sephiroth with his sword and when he took her out to the pond (that was apparently bottomless), and she *sniff* sank back into the world...and he cried...yeah, I can't keep that up for very long.

It was a bit over done, and having built all of my characters to relatively high levels early on, it felt like a gigantic waste of time to have her taken away like that. Regardless of the story line, 'twas lame.

Here's one: Grey Fox at the end of MGS. I mashed on the fire button because I wanted him to shut the hell up!!! And they wouldn't let me!! He kept talking and talking, and Snake "No!" "I can't do it!" Geez-us Harold Christ.... In retrospect, death by rocket launcher would have been kind compared to the crushing and then smearing out from under the foot of the Metal Gear like so much dookie on your shoe.

Haha, I've enjoyed some of the spoilers on here: put the character not in spoilers, then just spoilered how they die. It would be better to know that someone is crushed under a train than who it was, then that they died under a train.

Wesker, RE5. Even though he's probably not dead, just the fact that he MIGHT be gives me great pleasure. And I mean, come on; double RPG strike while he wades around inside an active volcanoe! What a way to die!
