is this a furry series because i don't exactly agree with furries, its getting awkward to see how the internet is beginning to fill with them. PS no offense to whoever is one.
1. This is not a furry series. This is a cartoon with animals as the protagonists. Furries may be more interested in this
because they're anthropomorphic dogs, of course.
2. Furries are just people who have a particular fondness for anthropomorphic critters, and have formed a fanbase with what is actually pretty typical of how people display their fandom- art, cosplay, their own characters 'n what not. It is this subculture that should be labeled as, "Furry," and like with any fandom subculture, only things that encompass
their interests should be considered as such. You can kinda tell by if the subject in question has a feel foreign to you, like how you can tell a book involving vampires from a book for hard-core vampire fans.
From what I understand, most furries find the furry fetish just as weird as the rest of us do, if that's what you're worried about.
3. Their being dogs is a gimmick. Like their being programmers. Personally, I like things with anthropomorphic characters in them to either make full use of their being animals, as we see with Game Dogs or ignoring it altogether and using their being animals as an art style, a la Disney's version of Robin Hood.

I have to agree with everyone else here in that this was a much funnier episode than any of the ones before, and I think a large amount of it has to do with spontaneity and the energy in the voice acting. Not saying that the voice actors are bad, but these episodes seem to be written with narrative in mind over humor. I do understand that it is really hard to find a balance between story and comedy, especially in a few-minute episode.
I think another aspect that Game Dogs is getting a better hold of is the juxtaposition of their being programmers with their also being dogs.
At its worst, an example of this are superfluous puns, or using, "paw" rather than "Hand." Its been made clear that they live in a world populated by sentient dogs; in the sequence in which Chet describes his new intro idea, there were at least four references to their being dogs. I would have enjoyed that more if they were describing a badass person, then mentioned God booping them on the nose, rather than than a bad dog being booped on the nose by a God dog.
Also, referring to other characters by their breed is a cute touch, but I think the dialogue would be smoother with just, "guy" or "person."
And while I always found the visuals in this show to be very good, I have to point out agian that I really do appreciate the gesticulations of the characters- I think there's a lot of comedic and storytelling potential in the character's hands.
