Again, other jokes were recycled. "Some day I will catch the car" is pretty similar to Homer Simpson's "Some day, that bowl will overflow, and I'll be there".
The "some day" joke is used countless times in different comedy shows, don't you think? So it's not exactly a rip-off. It's more like a comedic punchline.

I always skip to 0:30 because an intro for a ~5 minute cartoon should never exceed 15 seconds.

If you have to explain the joke then it was never funny i reckon.
ironically, a lot of artists recognize this:

Pretty much this.

Yeah, but this time it was a pawline.

Get it? You do, but it isn't funny, right? Neither was the sentence from the show.

Well, can't defend a bad joke.
Touché, Abedeus.

I'm stunned... Could this week's episode actually have been funny?! If this isn't a fluke, I'm going to be glad I stayed with it. The show is obviously never going to be something to be looked forward to in anticipation, but it just might get strong enough to be a "guilty pleasure" like a lot of other forms of entertainment out there.

I am quite the dog lover, and I must say, with the way the humor integrates with things dogs normally do, I laughed my ass off.

Best episode yet- the show is definitely getting on the right track. I'll keep watching, for now.
absolutely love you, for the post you made being exactly what i wanted to say, but mostly for your kirby avatar. Brilliant.

anyway, just so its not a completely lazy post, i actually enjoyed this episode, something i've had little exprience in when it come to Gamer Dogs. It had some moments where i genuinly laughed (though having watched it over 4 hours ago now, i don't remember them too well). I like how it seems to be a mick-take of friends and other series like that, probably why i am still watching it.

Better. Still not very good, I still failed to laugh. But I can see some semblance of a plot developing here, please stick with it and leave the random excursions into D&D out.

a bit better
glad you changed the intro, though it still aint funny
am also glad that unlike last time, gary didnt show up with the same catchphrases, just to announce that he still exists and to pad out the video
could still work on the characters and jokes, but at least its a step in the right direction

is this a furry series because i don't exactly agree with furries,its getting awkward to see how the internet is beginning to fill with them. PS no offense to whoever is one.
1. This is not a furry series. This is a cartoon with animals as the protagonists. Furries may be more interested in this because they're anthropomorphic dogs, of course.
2. Furries are just people who have a particular fondness for anthropomorphic critters, and have formed a fanbase with what is actually pretty typical of how people display their fandom- art, cosplay, their own characters 'n what not. It is this subculture that should be labeled as, "Furry," and like with any fandom subculture, only things that encompass their interests should be considered as such. You can kinda tell by if the subject in question has a feel foreign to you, like how you can tell a book involving vampires from a book for hard-core vampire fans.
From what I understand, most furries find the furry fetish just as weird as the rest of us do, if that's what you're worried about.
3. Their being dogs is a gimmick. Like their being programmers. Personally, I like things with anthropomorphic characters in them to either make full use of their being animals, as we see with Game Dogs or ignoring it altogether and using their being animals as an art style, a la Disney's version of Robin Hood.
~~~
I have to agree with everyone else here in that this was a much funnier episode than any of the ones before, and I think a large amount of it has to do with spontaneity and the energy in the voice acting. Not saying that the voice actors are bad, but these episodes seem to be written with narrative in mind over humor. I do understand that it is really hard to find a balance between story and comedy, especially in a few-minute episode.
I think another aspect that Game Dogs is getting a better hold of is the juxtaposition of their being programmers with their also being dogs.
At its worst, an example of this are superfluous puns, or using, "paw" rather than "Hand." Its been made clear that they live in a world populated by sentient dogs; in the sequence in which Chet describes his new intro idea, there were at least four references to their being dogs. I would have enjoyed that more if they were describing a badass person, then mentioned God booping them on the nose, rather than than a bad dog being booped on the nose by a God dog.
Also, referring to other characters by their breed is a cute touch, but I think the dialogue would be smoother with just, "guy" or "person."
And while I always found the visuals in this show to be very good, I have to point out agian that I really do appreciate the gesticulations of the characters- I think there's a lot of comedic and storytelling potential in the character's hands.
The voice acting just noticeably improved this episode, with the exception of the onomatopoeia gripe I won't repost. I don't know what triggered this, but keep it up.
....Good lord, I can't find anything original to complain about? *head explodes*
I guess my one beef and question with the whole series so far: why ARE they dogs? They could have easily been humans and the amount of canine related humor, IMO, just goes too far and I just don't personally find it funny. I realize it's a pretty dick move griping about a free show but I can sense it; somewhere in there there's a GOOD, solid show. Maybe it's the lack of facial emotion that puts me off, or the over exaggerated eye movements. Maybe it's the hammy writing; I can't put my finger one one element on one exact thing that puts me off the show because I don't think it IS one thing that's wrong with the show.
Anyways, I wish the series good luck in the future.
