Wow, the comments are surprisingly positive this time around. I'm not nearly as thrilled as everybody seems to be, but this is definitely an improvement over what I've seen in the past. While I'm still not sold on the premise ("they're game developers... except they're dogs!") it is what it is and I guess it isn't going to change any time soon.
The characterization is still pretty poor (especially for Bethany, who is shaping up to be the remarkably generic female-gamer character) and I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with the others: that "Game Dogs was animated before a live studio audience" is really just annoying. I know it seems like a nitpick, and normally I really wouldn't care enough, but it's somehow just
obnoxiously unfunny. If it were a different message every episode, then a few unfunny ones would be completely excusable, but the same unfunny message each time just sort of suggests that
you think it's hilarious and you think everybody else agrees, which is just... I dunno, just kind of annoying. Besides, Futurama already did it. Once.
Anyway, those are the only two quirps I have. The writing is definitely improving (the Satan's Retrievers thing was actually pretty great) and I can see more what you're going for with the series.
My biggest concern is the characters. They're just so
basic. It isn't too late to steer them away from the stereotypes that seem to be their defining traits right now. You're in a pretty cool position, being in charge of an animated webseries. Take risks and make the most of it; don't think that because this is a gaming site, everybody will be okay with
another lovable nerd, or
another level-headed, sexual-tension-creating gamer-girl (honestly, I have
never seen any other iteration of a female gamer; it's been done into the ground). Branch out, and I guarantee your series will be better.
