Before the shitstorm really begins, let me say that I appreciate you taking the time to read and implement our suggestions. Regardless of what people say about it beyond that, I am so enthralled that you actually listened, and then changed the product based on what we said last week. I mean, what company or producer does that?

The answer: the good ones.

It's a lot better this time, mostly because you finally realised you can exploit the fact that they're dogs, not people.

Hurray for dog stereotypes! The car bit was awesome.

I liked the fact that you are now doing different intro joke per episode. I can also see improvement. Not bad. You should try and get them out of that break room at some point though. Maybe the season finally.

Hehe, FINALLY an episode that I liked! The squeaky frog made me actually giggle, as did the chasing car thing. I will say though that I agree with everyone else about Beth...as a female gamer I'm pretty disappointed that the only girl in the cast is, as usual, the most annoying. >.< I mean seriously...Chet and Rodger are starting to build such personality. Beth is just filler for her "sigh" and "gasp" and stating the obvious ("Oh no! Rodger's secret weakness!" Really?). It makes me feel like the voice actor literally can't articulate sounds, so in order to make up for this flaw they give up and say "Well, just say the word instead of making a sound." This might not be true, but it's what comes to my mind. :/

Damn it, I don't want to like this series, yet I keep watching it. It's....it's....(sigh) grown on me a little.

Its weird I never laugh and yet somehow I watch it every week.

I still think a lot of the lines are too obvious, for instance we dont need the girl to say that the toy is Roger's greatest weakness that should be obvious via facial expression or previously refered to character traits or just implied surely.

If you have to explain the joke then it was never funny i reckon.

On the flip side at least the characters are starting to develop a bit now and its not like five minutes a week is going to kill me so I will stick with it

Edit Also I cant be the only person that immediatly skips the intro by sliding the marker straight to 32 seconds each week
You're not, I can't stand the intro, they shouldn't be developing a new intro for their game they should be developing a new intro for their show. >_>

Alright. I'll give these guys credit, I'm getting into the series. A few things to consider before next Thursday...

The animation is very static. Remember the picture on the videos page where each dog had a unique facial expression? If you could implement that into the animation; that is, put more emotions into the expressions, the characters will be more relatable.

So far, the voice acting is great, but the writing is not. However, that's been steadily getting better, so just keep trying harder.

In this episode, I noticed the characters starting to finally develop personalities. That's fantastic, and you need to really capitalize on that. Roger being the level-headed one, and Chet being creative yet lazy. Bethany, so far, hasn't put forth any major character traits, but that's ok. You've got plenty of time to work on it. All in all, I hope to see this improving next week as you have been for the past 7.

At this point, I'm convinced that the people who are claiming "this episode wasn't so bad, it's getting funnier" are suffering from stockholme syndrome or something similar... they've trying so hard to find ANYTHING to like about this series that they've finally managed to start CONVINCING themselves it IS getting better.

Unfortunately for me, I am not that weak willed. This episode was just another gut-wrenching snooze-fest in the torturous train-wreck this series has been. I'm going to put it bluntly. It simply is NO fun to watch.

I've kept saying "i'm not watching it anymore" for week after week, then sheer boredom gets the better of me and I end up taking a look anyway... I have a feeling that others who have taken this approach to the show are no small minority. What concerns me even more is that somewhere, someone might be viewing all of these traffic/viewer numbers as a sign of SUCCESS, instead of what they really are.. morbid curiosity. People arent watching to be entertained, they are checking to see if the show is un-sucky yet, then they go away even more disappointed but apparently unable to give up on the last vestiges of hope they keep holding out for this epically, masterfully failed series.

As for me, this time I think I am through. It's had this long to get good. It's let me down consistently. Doraleous gets my Thursday views from now on exclusively, because I'd hate to be counted as a "viewer" and accidentally provide encouragement that people want "More" of this animated pap smear.

Respectfully submitted,
Some anonymous, soon-to-be-suspended-probably Guy.

I saw definite improvement in this one.

It's weird to say it, but...

Good work on this one.

Now just please drop the live studio audience bit, it's still not funny.
Thank you for that last statement. Your running the audience bit into the ground. Also I'm glad I've stuck with this one, I actually enjoy it.

It was funny when the Clerks Cartoon did it, but that joke is waaaaaaaaaaaay old. I do like how the show is progressing though.

Wow, the comments are surprisingly positive this time around. I'm not nearly as thrilled as everybody seems to be, but this is definitely an improvement over what I've seen in the past. While I'm still not sold on the premise ("they're game developers... except they're dogs!") it is what it is and I guess it isn't going to change any time soon.

The characterization is still pretty poor (especially for Bethany, who is shaping up to be the remarkably generic female-gamer character) and I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with the others: that "Game Dogs was animated before a live studio audience" is really just annoying. I know it seems like a nitpick, and normally I really wouldn't care enough, but it's somehow just obnoxiously unfunny. If it were a different message every episode, then a few unfunny ones would be completely excusable, but the same unfunny message each time just sort of suggests that you think it's hilarious and you think everybody else agrees, which is just... I dunno, just kind of annoying. Besides, Futurama already did it. Once.

Anyway, those are the only two quirps I have. The writing is definitely improving (the Satan's Retrievers thing was actually pretty great) and I can see more what you're going for with the series.

My biggest concern is the characters. They're just so basic. It isn't too late to steer them away from the stereotypes that seem to be their defining traits right now. You're in a pretty cool position, being in charge of an animated webseries. Take risks and make the most of it; don't think that because this is a gaming site, everybody will be okay with another lovable nerd, or another level-headed, sexual-tension-creating gamer-girl (honestly, I have never seen any other iteration of a female gamer; it's been done into the ground). Branch out, and I guarantee your series will be better.

Hey, can we actually get a real version of that game? Maybe one of the Zero-Punctation Game Contest finalists could work on it. Keep those "Gamer Dogs" coming Escapist!

Not as good as the last few episodes, but you're keeping me watching. Great work! I'm loving the fact that the show is finally picking itself up from the horrific start it had. :)
