I didn't like unforgotten realms, So i didn't watch it anymore

Then Apocalypse lane came out, watched some of it. Wondered why it existed. Then stopped.

Now this will probably earn my hatred and contempt again. I'll give it a chance. But.. I probably won't wind up watching it

Gotta admit, that made me smile. I mean, come on. I was there, reading those comments, making a few of my own, and this is exactly the response we needed. Calm down, kids. It's just the internet.

Unforgotten Realms was pretty terrible. I watched it long before it came to the Escapist, and then realized it had moved here... I didn't like it then or now.

Wait, does the female dog have breasts? I didn't notice. I'd say that's a sign I'm in good mental health, wouldn't you?

Unskippable was terrible. The voices were just garbage, and it was just shitty game reference after shitty game reference. It was the Family Guy of the Escapist. I'm glad we got rid of that show. Apocalypse Lane is the greatest show on the Escapist, with Movie Bob and Yahtzee right behind them. I'm not sure if this show will be any good, and I'm going to give it a try, but Apocalypse Lane is far from the worst.
Got rid of? What are you talking about. The show is still on and seems to be still going. Has it been cancelled?

As for Unforgotten Realms, the first season was the best. I agree with that, but I still rather enjoyed season 2. I found it funny. :p

As for giving Apocalypse Lane another shot... It gets better? How? At what point? Because I really don't want to sit through anymore of the garbage exhibited in the first few episodes. Why don't you recommend a really good episode and on the strength of that episode, I'll decide whether I want to view anymore episodes. Fair enough?

Like I said in the other forum. A Furrie is an anthromorph. THESE ARE NOT FURRIES. Just relax and enjoy the show people, oi.

I am dismayed. Unforgotten Realms gets canned and the two animated shows that spring up are Apocalypse Lane (I watched the first few episodes, couldn't stand to watch anymore. Beyond terrible show.) and this, which looks as bland as can be (I've watched both the trailer and this 'response' thing, and nothing's showing any promise).

This is my first post and yeah, it's to gripe, but it really bites about Unforgotten Realms. Just a very funny, funny show that I started at the beginning of its second season, caught up, and watched each week with relish. And now not one, but two animated shows spring up with nothing worth watching on them.

Don't get me wrong, I love Zero Punctuation (I originally discovered the site because of Yahtzee and his wonderful adventure games), and I enjoy Bob's movie reviews and Unskippable is usually pretty funny... There Will be Brawl was also an interesting experiment. So I guess I'll just stick with those shows... It's just sad that more lackluster animated shows are funded when a good animated show was canned.

End rant.
I know its only opinion but it took me a long time to get into unforgotten realms and I only stuck with it because I was bored at work, whereas the concept alone of Apocalypse Lane got me hooked, not to mention the srong characters and animation style.

I'm interested to see how Game Dogs goes showing promise especially with Gary.

(I only picked out a couple of parts I felt interested in responding too)

I must say, I miss Unforgotten Realms, I didn't even get to see most of it. I mean, what's wrong with still hosting the show on The Escapist? I can't watch Unforgotten or De-Rez, there's no reason they can't have them on the site. Hell, if it's a space/bandwidth issue, put all the episodes in big zip files and use a torrent system, or one of those free upload websites.

But I would agree that the first few episodes of Apocalypse Lane where weak, in fact, I gave it a good chance the first time, but tuned out at episode four. But I gave it another chance recently and after episode four, it started to get into its own storyline with an ongoing plot and then it really caught my attention. It's just one of those shows that needed a few episodes to get itself in the right direction.

Now, I really like it and look forward to its updates, almost as much as ZP and Movie Bob. I also love Unskippable, even if it's lacking sometimes. I keep telling myself I need to watch There Will Be Brawl...

Its sad people judge a show thats not out yet on a 48 second trailer.

Hopefully the show is good.
Exactly! What the hell was up with that. Only about thirty seconds was actual footage. I was planning on trying to defend it but Gary did that himself.

Good show. I'd tip my fedora to you if I hadn't lost it.

Thats because the first few episodes of Apocalypse lane WEREN'T very good, however, if you gave it a little more time, you'd see that even Apocalypse lane turned out to be a great and halarious show.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who notices A.L.'s increase in quality and humor. It's right after episode four the series really starts to get going in the right direction, I think. It's a shame it didn't have a better debut, but it seems to be doing well now.

I can see this go places! :D And I'm glad, because I liked the idea and the characters (i.e. Gary), but the trailer didn't get me that excited. Can't wait for the first episode!

That was good, mostly because I actually bothered to read through the hundred or so comments on the trailer. I knew Jon Etheridge wouldn't let me down.

That was pretty funny, but i never did understand what a "Furry was"
Give it a chance people if you want Urealms that bad (I know I do) go check out their website and buy their DVD sooner they get cash sooner they start up again, plus I think they have Urealm comics too.

I think this could potentially be very good, and Garry does sound a lot like Cuddles.

Yes, it's a mistake to judge something based on 30-40 seconds. Then why show those 30-40 seconds? Because it was meant to intrigue us and say, hey, look, watch me. And if it doesn't, it's a failed commercial. This 1 minute reply seems to have met with more success, but you could also argue for those of us that find it just as bland and unfunny that hey, don't judge it. It's not an actial episode!

We go to watch movies based on trailers. Sometimes, based on reviews or interviews. Sometimes, something else entirely. Something has to latch on and say, watch me. Otherwise, why should we waste our time? In an age of overstimulation, it's not simply 30-40 seconds. Or a minute reply. It represents the show and the mentality of the creator(s). They thought it was worth putting out, so it very much better represent what we're going to get in the show... otherwise, why did they put it out there?

Time is precious. Make it count. Anyway, I'm going to go finish watching this film I'm watching and then check out that episode of AP mentioned earlier.
