Well it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't exactly funny either. I didn't laugh, I was just kinda 'meh'. Best thing about it is the credits sequence and music which had me warmed up for something truly excellent. The characters are okay, too - there's a reasonable sense of personality even though the faces aren't animated much. Worst thing is the predictable humour, I saw the sword on the desk, the guys getting hurt by dice and the reactions of the female character all before they happened. I'll give it time though, it may improve, I promised in an earlier thread that I'd give it four episodes before I made any definitive judgements...

Quite boring... Generic characters... Terrible animation... Boring Story...

For a pilot... it was one or two bars below ok on the scale...
If this was intended to impress, it didn't.

Compared to stuff like Apocalypse Lane, it's really not up to scratch, but you guys are good, so I'll give it a chance.

It did make me laugh btw.

I shall do the service of not judging fully until more material is available. But I didn't really laugh and only smiled when the Ron-dog snapped about D&D not being allowed in ANY of the rooms.

The pacing was just what we need, though. Nice and fast. Humor requires speed. Have to catch people off guard. Humor and nervousness are on par with each other, after all...

Given the choice between slapstick and long, drawn out jokes that are trying to be clever I will choose slapstick any day. That said, this is hardly innovative.

But I laughed and that was good enough.

Hmmm. I chuckled which is a good thing though I was hoping for a LOL type affair myself. I can see potential for this series though time will ultimately tell whether this is a hit or a miss. Personally, my only gripe is the voice acting particulary from Alena Kock who sounds kinda wooden. Hopefully this is just nerves. Overall a 3/5

Could become good after a few episodes, this one was kinda eh, but within a couple of episodes it could become good, maybe a little longer, and I don't mind the animation, I actually kind of liked it, and with some self-parody on the animation it could become quite good.

Art was ok. Animation was lacking. Voices were nice. Dialogue was mediocre.

Since the similarities are there try channeling Code Monkey's for some inspiration, that show had it down.

I'm very sorry, but I didn't like it at all. The script seemed really hackneyed, and the main punchline is that they're dogs.

I wasn't impressed. Already having the viewpoint that the premise is stolen from VG Cats, the opening joke of "animated before a live audience" was already done in a Futurama title card. Some of the "nerd" humour got me on the verge of smirking, but I'd immediately be disappointed by a bad joke following it up ("My tail!" stands out in particular). Furthermore, the references to now archaic scares were less "clever" and more "lame".

Lastly, I think the idea of a weekly animated series is an inherently bad idea. Yahtzee manages because his series is primarily a series of stills, with the actual animation is very limited; this minimalist inclusion allows for quality work. Conversely, this series is heavily animated; the choppiness and miscellanious hiccups stand out significantly. I'd rather wait longer for superior work than attain weekly mediocrity.

hmm...it was ok, leaning on good. Would like to see the evolution over the next few weeks, as we see character development and story plots unfold. Oh, btw, the girl, she sounds like she is phoning it in somewhat, could just be me.
