Get rid of the Gary character and you might have something worth salvaging. Kind of looks like every other nerd sitcom I've ever seen. This still hasn't answered my question though: Why are they cartoon dogs?
Because cartoon dogs are awesome. And real dogs are very wiggly.
Also cartoon dogs don't have to go for walkies and I don't need to carry poop bags around with my while I'm animating. Unless, of course, there is a really insane deadline and I cant leave my desk.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain why they SHOULDN'T be cartoon dogs. Why the hell is Mickey a mouse? Why was Porky a pig? And if the argument is really "why aren't they humans" they you could say "Why are they humans?"

Its a vicious cycle. Do what I do: Take a breath, relax, clear your mind of all the bullshit, and just enjoy. :)

ahhhhh.... See? Now life is enjoyable again.

It had funny parts and I think it has a lot of potential

However, I was a little dissapointed with some of the animation. I think that some of the things they tried to do were too ambitious with the time they they had, hence a few corners were cut and it really did not look that good.

The reason that I say that is because at one moment, they showed nicely synched lip movement and taking, the next was the equivilent of a paper cut out moving across the screen. I was dissapointed that the whole thing was not animated in the same quality and style throughout. I can appreciate that animation is hard and time consuming, but I expect consistancy at the same time.

I am looking foward to seeing where this goes though

Pilots are supposed to capture the essence of a series, and I'm afraid I just don't think this one is worthwhile. I mean I'll give anything a chance a few times, but if I was hosting this site and had a number of features to choose from I'm not sure if I'd pick this one. On the other hand if it's all you've got, run with it.

I dunno who will read this but my thoughts were basically:

#1: It was horribly uncreative. It was basically ripping off "Knights Of The Dinner Table" in style (at least for the format) and making referances to decades old RPG scares...

old urban legend about some nerd who dressed up in armor and a sword to go hang out in the park and "live like his character" for a while. He allegedly found a bear, attacked it with his sword, and got mauled badly ...
I, personally, have never read/seen/viewed an episode of "knights of the Dinner Table". Im sure some people here at the Escapist have, but I haven't. But I'll check them out if you think its any good.

"making references to decades old RPG scares...". Perhaps the story of GameDogs take place decades ago. Guess you'll have to keep watching to find out! Which is, like, totally BITCHIN'!

Guy who lived in a suit of armor in the park and attacked bears? WTF?? What type of 'shrooms are you on? And, more specifically, where can I get some? :)

As far as the whole "who the hell brings a real sword..." thing. I personally have actually brought a real sword to a D&D game myself. So, yes, as nerdy as it may be, it does happen. More often than you would think. I've also see a mace, sword, bow&arrow, crossbow and a .22.

There are some "legally blind" people you wish would just quit pussyfooting around and strive for complete blindness. And thence depart the net entirely. But that has nothing to do with dogs. I'm not blind at all, so you're stuck with me. The animation is fine. For Bush Jr's sake, we've been watching South Park for what, 13 or 14 seasons now? Yeah, that's some superb animation right there. ("Style" does not excuse talentless animation, sorry.)

The animation of Game Dogs is perfectly acceptable. The people screaming "Furries" must view the world in Furry-O-Vision. I don't view enough "furry" material to even think about it. The only replacement creatures I can think of are gremlins and demons, but neither of them are funny. Or furry. Most of the time. The writing is what will make or break the series. This pilot was okay, though very short. I also hope to see more character background in future episodes. Your "Meet" pieces add flavor, but they are disconnected from the series.

And "GD" for me stands for Global Domination (.se). So you have quite a challenge ahead of yourselves to win over my acronym association.

You need to add something extra, at the moment it just seems like some sort of amateur web comic, put into a flash animation. Theme music was awesome though. I reccomend watching some of the similar style shows and finding out what makes them funny. Feels very cliche, as if someone had just gone on TV tropes and put some characters from there into a flash animattion. It has potential, and I could see myself watching it, IF you made it funnier. Although it's not really my style of humour at the moment, and I'm not asking you to change it. If some people genuinely find that sort of thing funny, by all means carry on. I didn't even smile though. Also, I don't get why they are dogs...... with boobs?

Bear in mind I found Unforgotten realms boring and I felt it was a bad rip-off of 8-bit theatre.

Let alone the fact that the Escapist has finally fallen to the same thing as every other website.

Fucking furries.
