Sure some games get you angry, or just all around irritating, but have any games just all out made you stop playing them or put them down for a long while because of a fury that burned through to the heavens?

Right now..oh, I love Resident Evil 5...but now it has me so infuriated that I'm probably going to be putting it down for a long while. Amatuer..fine, Normal..sure, Veteran..ok too...but now I'm stuck at one part and see no way of getting by it....the frigging Ndesu fight on Veteran...I know how to do it..and i have gotten near the end of it a few times, but it ridiculous...his attacks to too much damage, they added in an annoying molotov thrower spawn, and his boulder attacks is near unstoppable..and it takes off half your health!!..I went into it with 3 deaths against him from other modes..now its at 55..and I see no end in sight..
[sub]So I'm going back to Devil May Cry 4...at least the difficulty on there is fair..[/sub]

The final boss Azzazel on Tekken 6 (in the 2d fighter mode) is rediculously frustrating to fight. If I knew Azzazel's address, I'd send him a polite letter asking him to kindly go and eat the world's biggest dick. Seriously, I hate that guy.

In Oblivion some of the enemies are ridiculously difficult, like some of the higher up Blackwood Mercs. Granted you are able to change the difficulty, I just don't.

I still haven't beaten the Heavenly Sword final boss. Far too difficult when compared to the rest of the game.

Any game I have played a while which crashes without me saving can have this effect.

Getting triple shunted when you're SOOOO close to the finish line in Blur. Same with any racing games and being crashed into/shelled ;).

Modern. Warfare. 2.

The final level of Act 1. That mother fracking favella. that level just wasn't fun, at all.

Oh, and the multiplayer in general. They reeeeeaaaaaally need to patch that game. Please, somebody, fix the hit detection....please? I'm sick of getting killed because somebody shot the space of air next to me, and I'm VERY sick of knifers who take advantage of the lag...

Saints row 2. The ronin mission where you bury the bosses kid. You have to race around on motorbikes while cars try to run you off the road.
All the while trying to shoot the kid off his bike. It was also raining when I did it.
I stoped playing that game for a week. Damn motorbikes.

Based on all the people complaining about it, I expected that to be much worse than it actually was. I found it mildly annoying, but it only took one (kind of long, boring) try.

The kind of things that generally piss me off to that degree are games with control schemes or interfaces that really grate on me. For some reason, the standard MMO control setup/interface makes me cranky, so even if it's a game I would otherwise like, I tend to hate most of them. All Resident Evil games make me want to stab someone, even 4, but the earlier ones were particularly bad. I at least made it halfway through 4, while the first one only took about 20 minutes before I gave up. I can't stand the driving in the GTA games, either, despite them otherwise being pretty decent (and it doesn't matter whether it's on a console or the PC version).

MTG:DotP probably wins out of stuff I've played recently (the PC version just came out on Steam, a year after the XBLA version). I'm actually totally fine with most of the stuff most people who hate it complain about, but ever since the first patch came out, whenever I try to play with my friend, it'll work fine for about half a game before it starts having issues syncing, to the point that the game starts happening non-linearly, and I just end up getting frustrated and quitting and hoping the next patch will make it stop being broken. I don't care if I lose, but I at least want to lose because I suck at it, not because the game's glitchy.

Seth from Street fighter 4.

It seems that Capcom doesn't know what "easy difficulty" means.

Especially, when you get used to checkpoints, and then comes a game so cool it ain't got any, so you lose hours of game. That's certainly worth deleting.

No joke. That game was like Capcom had, instead of giving me a game, just taken a picture of someone flipping me off and stuck it in the box. First, like you said, they haven't got the slightest clue what "easy" means. I went in thinking, oh, I like fighting games, I'm not one of those experts who memorizes every combo, but as long as I can have some fun just punching and kicking then it'll be good enough for me. But no, I tried that and I'm fairly certain I know how rape victims feel now. Sorry Capcom, I don't want to spend a semester in class learning how to be just less than shitty with one character.

And then they released Super Street Fighter 4 and it was like throwing salt in my wounds, because now not only had they sold me a game that I can't play without memorizing a fucking textbook worth of combos, but there are more characters I can't play even if I do get good, and SSF4 is now cheaper used than SF4 was when I bought it used.

That game and everything surrounding it is just a world of pissing me the fuck off.

- That god-awful helicopter mission in GTA: Vice City
- Just Business, the mission in San Andreas where you have to chase a train on a motorcycle, while you buddy with the aming skills of a monkey on crack has to shoot all the gang members on the roof.
- The final battle in Golden Sun, just when you finally beat Saturos and Menardi, 2/4 group members down, they merge into a dragon and they totally kick your ass. Hated that battle. Haven't played it for 4 years now...

Resident Evil 5 on Professional.

On the level where you ride a boat through a swamp, there is this one bell-end who throws dynamite into the water perfectly timed to kill both players INSTANTLY as soon as you pass over it. Even if one player survives the blow you won't live as the animation to get up from the blast takes longer than your "bleed out" meter.

Took me far too long to figure out what was even causing it, let alone get lucky enough to snipe the bugger from insane distances.

The ironic thing being that the rest of Professional mode seemed far easier by comparison.
