Bingo. I've haven't known a girl who doesn't like this game.
Actually?

I also enjoy buying my girlfriend games, I'm secretly trying to turn her into a gamer... shhh....

I'm starting with casual stuff but hopefully she gets into at least one or two games we can play together. I got her playing random wii things like Dokapon Kingdom, but as for someone on her pc for her to play on her own I'm a tad lost as well. She already has sims 2, someone mentioned yosumin... I should look into that I guess... :S

Seriously, I'd just suggest something light to begin with, the Sims 3 seems like a good choice. It's appealing to both the casual and the more devoted gamer, and if she likes that then you can take it from there in the future.

There's no point buying her a great game if she's not going to like it - I can guarantee you that pretty much all women on the planet like the Sims. There's a reason why the original is the highest selling PC game of all time.

Jade Empire

Apparently, the PC version's got some stuff Bioware didn't care to put in the console versions. And it's supposed to be prettier. Go for it.

My girl loves guitar hero/rockband, adventrure games like banjo kazooie and she loves CoDWaW for some reason.. absolutely refuses to play any other fps its quite a weird obsession.

She liked spore and the sims but got over them quickly.

She hates halflife or gears or halo or anything futuristicy and space mariney

Im going to get a copy of monkey island hd next.

If you do not find Animal Crossing fun you either are simply assuming it is boring, or care too much about something having to die.
(Or you legitimatly find it boring...but that means I have to be nice about it)

I dunno, could it really last a whole summer? It was great, but I've replayed it twice and haven't even spent more than 6 hours total.

Plants Vs Zombies, definitely. Also Peggle and Puzzle Quest.

If she's wanting something a bit more hard core get her Portal.

Fall out 3. Pony-up and get her a 8600 GT or something better, she won't mind the low graphics and frame-rate, as long as she can play it, she'll have a blast.

Well I would go with the Sims 3 but maybe try Sims 3 and Star Craft or War Craft

Stick with games like The Sims 2.
Or I'd say fuck the PC games and get her an N64 if you want. They're cheap and have great games. You can get her Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, Yoshi's Island, and a whole bunch of cartoon-ish games she can enjoy that will help pique her interest.

I'd go with Portal as well. It is short, funny and cute but still a challenge. Rock Band/ GH are also pretty fun.

Not CS:S. That game isn't exactly noob friendly, and the only people left playing it are pros.
I play on my own private servers and slow down the timescale (hacks). So yes, noobs can play it and set the bots on easy.
