Okay so I keep playing RTS games even though I can safetly say that I am terrible at them. I really like Starcraft, Warcraft, Warhammer 40k games, and a number of others that I can't think of right now. I will play them on easy and still have to make a serious effort to get past the missions. Don't even get me started on the Multiplayer of these games. I die fast and frequently.
For some reason I keep playing these games regardless of being crap at them.

your your your ... you´re!

Ahem, OT: Stealth games, I just can't sit in the shadows long enough to mark a pattern down on the enemy NPC, so most of the time quick save/load is the way I get through the games.

Fighting games and shooters

Im good at some RTS games, but terrible at starcraft... was much better at warcraft 3 because there were less units to manage

A Hermit's Cave
RTS's for the most part (discounting TBS's/RTT's, yes, Total War) largely because I play by capturing & controlling, which just does not work in RTS's beyond 'Normal' level difficulty.

Being short sighted and refusing to wear glasses, and relatively new to console controllers, and getting motion sick quite easily - I am moderate to poor at FPSs. However I am regularly found propping up the table of friends who play Gears 2, Battlefield BC2 and Rainbow 6: Vegas 2 and others enjoying myself immensely and, every now and then, surprising myself by doing something useful.

I am not that good with RTS games either. I would not go so far as to say I suck, but I'm not very good, and I still like playing them. Same thing with shooter games really, both first- and third person. I play them sometimes cause it's fun but I usually suck.

RPG:s and turn-based strategy games are my most appreciated genre's though, and the ones I'm fairly good at. ^^

Racing games are pretty boring for me. I never got the need for speed IRL and I don't care much about cars or any of that fancy car talk. Naturally I wouldn't be impressed by racing games. I like immersion, storyline, and innovative or interesting gameplay. Racing games tend to be weak on the storyline issue, I can't get immersed into them, and press X to accelerate got old decades ago.

For me its Sjrpgs , like disgaea , argrest war , growlansers , final fantasy tactics ...etc (although i was amazing at FFT , the original ps1 version was amazing! And is one of my favorite games)

I did manage to finish most of them ( except agrest war ) and theres no difficulty setting so i can't control how hard they are . But i love those games to death even though i suck at them.

Ironically i hate RTS games if they are not rpgs

RTS and TBS come to mind and fighters.

I'd say FPS and most racing games but I don't play those.

RTS games.

My expert tactic is to not build a single unit until I have enough money for my grand doom army of a single unit. Then I do an attack move from one side to the other.

I totally suck at First person shooters, but that doesn't stop me from having fun with Brink, MAG or occasionally when I'm forcibly dragged into it, Call of duty.

Platformers. I can't handle platformers. I die, and die, and die, and die, yet I keep going like a stubborn donkey that's chasing after a carrot through a brick wall. Also analogies, I suck at analogies.
