Game Genre's you love, but suck at.

Hello Escapist's, after watching the Starcraft preview here on our humble site, i got thinking about how much i love the RTS, however it also got me thinking about how much i suck at them as around 90% of the time i play online i get dominated.

So escapsit's, what's a game genre you love to play but aren't very good at.

Fighting games are always fun to play with friends, mostly because no one knows how to do anything cool, which just makes it more fun when someone manages to do something awesome. Dead or Alive is the best for this in my opinion.

First Person Shooters. I have the reflexes of a stale Twinkie, so much that I died upon encountering my very first headcrab.

OT: RTS are the same way for me also. I will just stick to playing the computer when Starcraft 2 comes out so my ego doesn't shrivel up and die.

Rhythm games.

Then again, I call getting through Guitar Hero songs with 71% on expert sucking.

Also, fighting games. The only one I ever succeeded at was Dead or Alive 2.

It's what you get when you mistype the word 'genre' and somebody acts af it was now impossible to figure out what it is supposed to mean.

I like RTS, but I'm very shit at them

I'm gonna go with RTS on this one, but it usually depends on the game. I'm a god at the C&C-RA series but suck at ALL others even though I love them.

Rome total war. It would help if i was even half serious though about it. Maybe.

Soul Caliber 2

Devil may cry. I love it so much. I don't get bored, good thing too, as I die. A lot.

I like MMO games, but I suck at making money on them. On runescape, every single one of my friends were making millions. I was living off scraps off food, even though I was the highest level. Even in WoW I see people walking around in golden chariots made by angels, while I walk about on my mangy Wolf.

Arena Shooters like Quake 3. They're fun to play with others, but I suck so bad at them.

Strategy games. particularly RTS's and Chess. I love them but i'm rubbish at them.

I love the Metal Gear and Tenchu series, Stealth games really appeal to me... I just can't play them to save my life. I try to rush or flip out and kill everything and it just doesnt work that way.

As a counter note, seems most people here have a problem with RTS/FPS which if you add in 2D Fighters makes up the bulk of my "Games I am awesome at" list, I wonder if my inability to play Stealth Games and my awesomeness at Twitch games are related.

RTSs mostly. Picked up a copy of Sins of a Solar empire on the cheap and I love it. Pity I also can't quite work out how to build up my fleet quite as fast as the enemy.

RTS for me. I love them, been playing them since the first Age of Empires, was never any good.

Considering all the people saying they can't really play RTS games, perhaps somebody should set up an escapist group for us; "People who love RTS games but suck so we made this group becuase were all at the same skill level"
