Agreeing with the original post here: I bloody love a good RTS, but I just fail so hard at micromanagement.
Persevering with Company Of Heroes at the moment, but DAMN does it get hard. The only RTS's I was ever any good at were the classic Command & Conquer games... due a replay, I think.

Fast-paced FPS's. I always freeze up when I'm in trouble, or even worse, start shooting at everything that moves, thus running out of ammo fast, so I have none when I meet someone that really needs to die(in stead of waving tissuepaper or something...).
Also, scary FPS's I loathe. I am not easily scared, but I hate being startled, then losing(hate, loathe, none are sufficient. Not a word describes my despise for being startled).
Just give me some time to think stuff through, that's better for my bloodpresure...

Football Manager games.I generally can only do well if I pick a team like Barcelona or Man Utd(i.e a team with great players and lots of money).If I pick a smaller team I usually end up getting sacked before I've completed 1 season.Doesn't stop me buying them or trying though
I'm pretty much good at the most games I like.. Although WoW tore down my skillevels in fps and rts, I don't really go for them anymore. Also, I suck at fighter-games! Especially Mortal Combat. I don't really care for them, but damnit, it's frustrating to be beaten by small(er?) children!
fighting games, sometimes I like to play them. especially when me and my don't know anything about the controls and we end up laughing at our dancing/jumping/stupid characters.
I'm sorry about that. Because your missing out on a really good series; STALKER. There's a lot of times where all I can do is scream "God Damnit!!" because of the sudden shotgun to the back or growl. Still fun.De Ronneman said:
OT: RTS's. I was pretty beast at AoE 2 and Mythology but never was that good at anything else. I tried to play Supreme Commander online a couple time. I thought I was good because I recently figured out a way to "farm" resources. Well they knew about that, and by the time I had a few T3 engineers running, here comes some super units to destroy my base.
I kinda see how that's fun, but ever since I played Doom 2 as a 7 year old, I got severly traumatised and decided never to play it, ever again. I liked watching my friends play, because it gave me a sence of distance...Smokeydubbs said:

Come to think of it, kind of a good place to have something that scares you, an attic, or maybe I'm just seeing ghosts here...
does any one notice a patern here? Rts games seem to be the hardest for every one here maybe there is a connection between having time to relax and playing an rts i must conduct scietfic studys!!!! ot: just rembered another genre I cant seem to get the grasp of horror games i mena i love to play them but my body wont let me
stealth games, I sometimes do well, depends on how much equipment I'm given, and ocassionally I just rock.
