Its a toss up between world or warcraft and city of heroes.

Its odd but I think cit of heroes forum was the most acidic community I ever played with back in the day.

Halo because when I finally played the supposedly oh so glorious multiplayer that everyone talked so much about for years, all that happened was that I was getting killed immediately after spawning by one of my teammates with a shotgun and everyone else on the team decided it was not only hilarious but also that they should start doing it too, and no I wasn't even talking because I didn't had a mic.
I mean I still had tons of fun playing Halo 2's local multiplayer with my friends but it really made me not want to play shooters online for a while, fortunately Uncharted 2 changed my mind.

I bought guild wars a couple of months ago, and im finding that the community is pretty bleh.

I stopped doing the campaign, (Got bored of it) and I just began doing PvP, mostly random arena. (I didn't really have anything to do with the community while role-playing)
Obviously, I'm not that great at random arena, but I'm not running into the enemy team and suiciding. I'm mostly just staying back and using my skills; but people were just like raging at me? Like seriously, a random arena match goes only for about a minute or something usually, and you have to go ballistic at me? Gosh, it's not a LoL game, it doesn't go on for 30 minutes.
You could tell me what I'm doing wrong? No, some people just say something on the lines of
'You suck, gtfo'
Plus, all the guilds i've joined are not that active.

Ah... raving on.... I feel so much better xD
Now that I mentioned LoL, It's community I don't really mind for some silly reason. I must be getting used to it D=

I nearly forgot Combat Arms, its community is HORRIFIC! ksers, hackers, mine blowers, people raging at you... and the blissfully ignorant Nexon... it has the lot.

There's a few games, actually, that I cannot stand the 'fans' or 'elites' in the game. The usual suspect, the Call of Duty series gets note here. Enjoyable to play usually, except for irritating little bastards on console mics.

But the game that takes the cake for people that were just rotten bastards believe it or not was a Crysis mod called Mech Warrior: Living Legends. It is a mech warrior mod that basically makes the game into a true Mech Warrior sequel with not only mechs, but also aero space fighters, tanks, and even Long Tom artillery. Its as awesome as it sounds, and if this mod had a million people playing it, it'd be the awesomest thing ever for a mech warrior fan.

The problem is the game only runs maybe 2 or 3 servers on a given night, and all of them are full of the whiniest, bitchiest nastiest scrubs I have ever seen play a video game. Using long range, from cover missiles fired from a missile boat mech utilizing team lock ons (ie targeting lasers or NARC Beacons)? CHEAP! Using an attack VTOL or an aerospace fighter to bomb mechs from their blind spots? CHEAP! Over heating enemy mechs with a flame thrower? CHEAP! Using a mech heavier than their mech to early in the game? CHEAP! Using an anti aircraft tank to bag planes? CHEAP!

TL;DR: Mech Warrior Living Legends is intended to be played as Rockem' Sockem' Robots with even weight class mechs, or the veterans will ***** and screech you off the server.

As far as i'm aware, an Otaku is generally used to describe someone who likes anime. So you realized you didn't like anime was that you realized that everyone who liked anime... liked anime.
Er, what?[/quote]

I think you should go look up the actual definition for otaku.

I love the Mass Effect games and yet ever since I joined the Bioware Social Network (as a way to socialize with other fans of Ashley Williams without fear of being picked on)
Good, I knew I wasn't alone in liking Ash.

OT: This comes from experience, but the general attitude of many games' multiplayer fanbases turned me off of multiplayer. Mainly Halo, Gears and Left 4 Dead ( The latter especially stings because none of my friends have the sequel and they've grown tired of the first one. That means the only way for me to find a decent game would be to play in single player, which I don't mind, but it's quite a lot less fun; or for me to brave the Internet and hope to find a game without the dickheaded elitists or griefers ruining it. Which is extremely difficult since it seems those two make up the majority of the game's fanbase.)

I still play and enjoy single player on those games, but it's incredibly rare to catch me playing online.

World of Warcraft. People cry about how LOLEAZYLULZ it is when someone starts talking about welfare purples, yet sit there AND PAY TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT! Shut up or cancel your subscription. You don't throw money at a chef when they keep screwing your order up and start spitting in your food.

Halo. I enjoyed the game, but I'd never play it online.

I was vaguely considering it for a while, then I came across Homophobia Evolved. Glad I never started.

Devil's advocate here. I actually also despise spawn camping and generally only play on servers (in TF2, the only game applicable to this discussion that I play) that will kick you for spawn camping. That said, you have to really fail as a team to allow spawn camping to happen. It shouldn't be so easy for the other team to gain that initial control your territory. Spawn camping is really punishing your team for that failure.

But, like I said, I hate it too. It really sucks the fun out of the experience, especially when your teammates aren't so good.
At least Valve take steps to try and prevent spawn camping in TF2, Bungie don't even bother with Reach. That's what bugs me most about Bungie, the apparent laziness in coding the rather bug prone engine and design of the maps. It's like they can't be arsed to make something decent, they just cobble something together that just about works, then move on to the next thing.

In before Halo fanboys flame me to death.

Sonic the Hedgehog. Enough said. F***ing crazy fans...

EDIT: Also, I kinda agree with the people who mentioned Kingdom Hearts. I love the games (though I wish they'd stop stretching out the story and get to Kingdom Hearts 3 already!), but of course, some people take it WAY too seriously. Again, f***ing crazy fans.

Aahh I see that is quite the back catalog! But hey, when you do finally get through those games, if you still have it in you, I'm sure you can give FF6 a go ;P
Lost Odyssey is also pretty damn good!
So I hear. I'm somewhat nervous, though, because everybody I've ever met who played it told me that it made them cry. I'm just not a crier, and I don't want to be the one emotionally detached fuckass who didn't cry at Lost Odyssey.
...I didn't cry either my friend, it did move me, if you get attached to the characters it can be moving, but I didn't cry.
So don't you worry, just give it a good go either way!
