Fire Emblem the first GBA one released in the EUR.... Damn you!! Final level+1 -- Dragon -- Nergal -- all the awesome bosses from the game -- In one!! fucking!! Level!!

Nintendo -- you damn well know how to make a awesome ending, even if I can't complete it!!
hehe, that final level was brilliant, actually forced some tactical play.
Or just wall off the bosses and send Jaffar (the assassin with a chance to instakill) at them. The dragon was stupidly cheap though.

OT: Chrono Trigger, until last week.
I'd done pretty much everything possible in the game, all the sidequests etc. but i didn't want it to end so I just didn't fight Lavos for about... six months?

One of my all time faves.

OddWorld games. Loved all, finished none.

Half-Life 2 -- I used cheats to get to the last part of the game, ADD :(

Batman Arkham Asylum - finished 90% of it, went like "meh", never picked it up again

GTA4 - played halfway through, discovered Saints Row 2, never looked back

Just Cause 2 - I hate it. You try to focus on a mission, then go like "oooooh, there' s a mountain! what if I throw a buss off it"

FEAR - loved it, then my PC died

COD1/COD2/COD3 - loved them, never beat the last stages of the games

... and that's about it.

Definately Homeworld. Loved the concept, visual style, story, music, everything, but it's also an RTS which is the gaming genre I personally have the most difficulty with. When I get stuck in an RTS my motivation just drains away, and I'm sad to say that Homeworld is no exception. Of all the games I've bought, it's consistently the game I return to, fail, and give up on over and over again.

One day.....

Fallout 1. I love this game but I just never finished it. Heres a little summary of my first time playing it
Oh god the first Fallout game was so hard you wont ever understand. So I just got out of the vault and almost died from a couple of rats... yes, rats (I dont think anyone has been killed by a rat in an RPG). So after defeating the rats with my are fists I find out that I actually have a gun... great, thanks for the info. Alright, so I get ot of the cave and go west on my map. Eventually I get to a random encounter and see a couple of super mutants kill a bunch of nomads or farmers or whatever they are, and immideatly they go for me after they have dealts with the other bystanders. Its a pretty unfair fight. They have laser rifles, miniguns and rocket launchers, and I have... now hold on... a 10mm pistol and my bare hands. So after getting annihilated I start all over again because there is no such thing as an autosave in this game. So I get out of the cave and go west again as I had been told. There should be a town if I headed west but nothing comes up. Eventually I find some sort of miliary camp and of course I think this is the town I have been told of... but no.The camp belongs to the supermutants, but these dont attack me, so I talk to one of them and for some reason I failed the speech test and gets captured. So they take me to their leader and asks me if I want to cooperate. No I dont want to, you just killed me in my earlier life, so I reject his offer and he wacks me in the head, alright. He then talks to me again and asks me if I want to cooperate... no, I dont want to. He wacks me one more time... and again... and again. I finally tell him yes, and a cutscene pops up. I see this living mummy (which I guess is he player) being lowered into a huge jar with radioactive goo and turn into a super mutant, and the game ends. Well fuck me, that was a short game.
I know that isnt the real ending, but after that I just lost my nerve and started playing the second Fallout which is a bit more forgiving

I also like Fallout 2. I got a bit further into it and almost got to the ending, ut then my PC got destroyed and my save was gone. So sad
I'm pretty sure the instructions were that you were supposed to go EAST in the beginning. The Mutant Base to the West of the Vault is the final level of the game, you went straight there after the introduction.

Maybe you should give it another shot? :D
Goddammit. You are kidding right? Well i'll be damned

Too many to count, but here are some notable ones:

Jade Empire: Started five or six times, never got past maybe halfway. No idea why I can't push ahead, because I really do like the game. I of course intend to try again, soon. Probably after DA2.

Xenogears: Loved the game, but one of the final bosses was just unbeatable for me, and I ultimately gave up. Likely I will never go back and try again.

Assassin's Creed 2: Loved the game, but there was a mission near the end I had a ton of trouble with, so I stopped for a while. Then I stupidly deleted the save data when I thought I'd be switching over to PS3, and then it turned out I'd be sticking with X360. I'm currently playing through it again in a rush to finish so I can finally get to Brotherhood.

Borderlands: Technically beat the game, but haven't played the Claptrap Revolution DLC, and have since deleted my data (see above), so I'll have to start the whole thing over. Which I will. Love this game.

Saboteur; Viking; Tales of Vesperia; Eternal Sonata: Games I loved, but just stopped playing, will definitely try to finish soon.

I just get too impatient with games, and it's hard for me to stay committed to them...if I take a break to play something else, then I have a hard time getting back to it.

I think this is going to happen again with AC2; Dragon Age 2 comes out today and I can't force myself to hold off on that until I beat AC2, so I have to try to juggle them.

Actually one of the games I have completed. But not before it's sequel. And it's worth every second. Where did you get to?
I haven't beat it also. Either Im shit or the stealth is shit because Im always getting seen and heard no matter how careful I am.
To be honest I didn't really use stealth. All my skills went into rifles, meaning I was a crack shot with the sniper rifle. Generally the assault rifle w/ silencer was my primary.
Also I completed it with the Shifter mod, which is arguably easier, since you get skill points for every kill.

I can NEVER beat Beyond Good an Evil because of the insta-kill lasers and unkillable guards on the later stealth sections, especially in the slaughterhouse.
I was the same, but that's because I could never find the last Pearl for the final Hoverboat upgrade you need. I will rectify this when I purchase the HD version though.
