It happens to the best of us, a game is announced that you really wanna get. it comes out but then you either dont have the money, or you just never get around to buying it. For me this was basically the entire assassins creed line.

I begged my mum to buy it, but it turned out we needed the Expansion Pak, and that was too expensive. So no sequel for me. *sad face*

Well, it got to a point where I needed to get a new computer & all the stuff coming out wouldn't run. Now that I was given a brand new gaming rig, I have no job in which to buy games & I won't pirate them.

I still need:
*Dragon Age 1 & 2.
*Batman: Arkham Asylum.
*BioShock.
*Serious Sam HD.
*Dungeon Siege 3 (which I will probably be disappointed with anyway).
*Skyrim (not even out yet).
*Fable 3.

I was THINKING of getting Portal Two, but I cannot STAND the talking computers. Even worse; they emote. I should probably have added that to the "dumb reasons you won't buy a game" forum.

I planned on pre-ordering the Augmented Edition on PS3, but Play Asia seems to not have it properly available for some reason.

But mainly due to the fact I'm short on money at the moment to spend and especially after spending hundreds on new film equipment. The things we do for the arts...

Luckily, I have Mass Effect 2 at the moment which is a nice long good game.

I know I'll like it. But it's a huge time sink. I have so many other things I like doing. I don't want to add one big thing into my free time that might make me give up several other things or take chunks out of my other stuff.

I also want to play Jade Empire. I suppose there is no stopping me there.

There were a TON of games I wanted for for the PSX and I really, REALLY wanted a PS2 as well when that was new...and when GTA III was released. Eventually, we did get a PS2 just in time for the best GTA ever, Vice City but I never got games for it because my family is poor and I didn't work until after high school when the Xbox 360 was around. I had an Xbox at Dad's house which I thought was mine but it was really his to use on my fragile teenage mind, the bastard.

Angst aside, I'm trying now to rebuild my old collection and build the collection I never had. That's what being an adult is about, isn't it?

Also Donkey Kong Country 2. I've been looking everywhere for a copy but can't seem to buy one.

Due to the fact that I don't have much money. There have been a lot of games I would have purchased if I could. Since I just ran into my first job I'll have to get a move on can catch up on what I want.

That being said, a number of them require I purchase a new platform as well including the Xbox 360, Wii, Custom Gaming Desktop

I'd also like to get my hands on a Dreamcast and the SNES and NES for some classic games like Final Fantasy I, Skies of Arcadia etc. I think it would be cool to have them on their original platforms at least for collectors purposes

Its a shame. Sounds like a great game series. But a series of events during release stopped me from picking it up and eventually I just stopped caring about it.
