Halo, Metroid Prime, Mario, and any FPS that tries to pass off a blatant ripoff as a new game--Haze, for example.
But Metroid Prime IS ended. They finished it, they called it a trilogy finale. They released a trilogy package! It's over! Dead! Complete! Bang and the Phazon is gone!

Final Fantasy, Guitar Hero, Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Halo, Devil May Cry... they're all stagnant and hopeless. Just make DLC for what's already out. No sense in wasting the devs' time and money or the fans'.

Anything that just becomes really stale as an idea that is just being milked for all its worth. I would say something like the FIFA games, or the Madden games. Just think that the updated rosters and the like can just be DLC surely now?

Call of Duty and Medal of Honor stand a chance of being refreshed IF they leave the WW2 setting behind. There have been other wars fought before and after WW2 ,such as the American Revolutionary War, the American Civil War or even Vietnam. The WW2 dead horse has been thoroughly beaten.
Madden, and pretty much all sports themed games, really should end.
A game about the American Revolutionary and civil war sounds boring considering you can only shoot 3 bullets per min

I've got a list:

1.Halo
2.Guitar Hero/Rock Band
3.Mario
4.Final Fantasy
5.Medal of Honor
6.The 007 Games

EDIT: I'll take back Final Fantasy if they can make another one as good as ten but I doubt it.
7.Sonic
8.Need for Speed

I'm laughing at all the people that choose Halo.

It is the most played game for the passed couple years.

But yeah, It is becoming a bit ridiculous. Other then Halo, probably Mario Party games and Guitar hero franchisez

Mario, Guitar hero, Resident evil, Call of Duty, Sonic...The list is long. Give up on the sequels, try creating a new series. Sonic and Mario need to go to retirement and never return, Chris Redfield and co. aren't far away too, and that's coming from a fan of the series.

Im cool with one or maybe two sequels, but when games start getting miked, it really ticks me off. My opinion is that guitar hero had a nice run but now its getting crazy.
Final Fantasy, cmon, seriously.

They already have like 20+ sequels and spin offs, give it a rest.

i guess everyone who bought halo hates halo.....
Akshualee...... I purchased both Halo and Halo 2, and before I was even done with Halo 2 I started to actually hate it for some odd reason. Most likely because I beat it do death.

Guitar Hero - Its basically the same game they keep releasing, just with different songs. Different songs which could have easily been put as DLC.

Pokemon - Don't get me wrong, I love Pokemon. Pokemon Silver was classic, I'll never forget all the time I spent playing that. However now, there's just way too many pokemon in the games, it's stupid. Theres something like 500. 150 was a nice amount. 250 was going a bit far, but I could handle it. 350, just plain insane, give it up. Now, I'm willing to take this back, if they make a Pokemon game on a console, in full 3d, not like colliseum, or XD, I mean a pokemon game exactly like the Gameboy counterparts, just in 3d, and added stuff. However, it seems unlikely.

Halo - 3 Just seemed like Halo's story mixed with Halo 2's online multiplayer. I just feel it's really overstayed it's welcome now...

FPS' in general - I'm sorry to say, but, FPS' haven't changed an inch in the past 10 years. It still consists of shooting the same looking mobs, going through the same looking levels with a not so good storyline. It wouldn't be as bad if there was something else to pick the genre up, but FPS' are mainly renowned for their gameplay, the story is usually non existant and the enrironment are usually the same in most FPS' and since the gameplay is the same too, there's just nothing unique about them anymore. Bioshock was an amazing exception, I loved that game to bits, the story was great, the atmosphere was amazing and overall the gameplay was brilliant. If we see more exceptions, then i'll take this back.

Metal Gear Solid - I love the MGS series, but, If they planned on making another MGS game, however, I want it to have a different name, and I'd rather not see any characters from MGS in it as well. MGS4 ended the series nicely. Any more games to do with it could seriously screw it up.

Mario - Getting sick of seeing him in all these stupid spin offs. Nintendo milking him for all hes worth. Wish they'd give it a rest, doubt that'll happen though, it's a cash cow.

Final Fantasy? (not the 7's thought the seven series was epic, I actually want a remake of 7 for mah xbox) Oh and Halo, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, Call of Duty, (they should have stopped with modern warfare instead of making more Nazis to kill) POKEMON! and Mario.

Zelda and Metroid games are getting better but Mario is as boring as ever.
the sequels to seven were terrible and should have neer been made. not a single one. even the movie with its pretty, pretty reno.

however, a would pay good money for a FFVII/pokemon crossover. Imagine this: "damn you sephiroth! you've murdered aeris and doomed the planet! PIKACHU, I CHOOSE YOU!"

Thats a lie. Crisis Core was better than the original game imo. Although thats a prequel, not a sequel. I agree about the others though, Dirge of Cerberus was a crappy Devil May Cry rip off and Advent Children was a bit meh. Not played the mobile game, but mobile games aren't usually very good so...

I agree the VII series should be dropped though. Final Fantasy VII just wasn't that good. Cloud and Sephiroth werent exactly brilliant characters either. Cloud was emo and had the personality of a rock, and Sephiroth just wanted his mammy. (Although I do admit both characters managed to be decent in Crisis Core.)
