Game series you think needs a reboot.

I think Spyro would be an awesome reboot. I grew up playing Spyro and that was the first game I played on a console, it would be awesome to see the first game in all its glory on the PS3 graphics engine. Some of the .hack games would also be good for a reboot.

So, what game series or game do you think should get a reboot?

I wouldn't mind seeing some of the old Metal Gear games remade into the current generation. I'd prefer to see a MGS3 reboot. The Star Wars: Battlefront games would be a great reboot also.

Bomberman. The poor little guy got what is possibly the single worst attempt at making a franchise "hardcore" in the history of the video game industry. And it killed any chance the series had. And yet Sonic got to keep being in games after Sonic 06.

If I can't have my Chrono wishes granted, then this ^^ Dear Zombie Jesus, did Klonoa 2 pull me in and not let me go. I flipped out a few years ago when I was working at a locally owned mom&pop game store in Baton Rouge and someone traded in Door to Phantomile. Never even made it out on the floor...

being in games isnt always a good thing, as not sonic is more of a tragic joke than somthing fondly remembered as being awsome if he had stoped being games since the 90's

I don't know if 'reboot' makes sense, since each game was wildly different, but I would love to see a new Breath of Fire that's good. BoF 5 had some good ideas, an interesting setting and some decent developments, but it just wasn't fun.

Please God, no. Leave it alone. It was beautiful and magnificent and the voice actors are both really old, so they may need to get other people to do it and no. I loved the Legacy of Kain Series, but it's done. Any attempt to shoehorn in more story now would just turn into cheap mcguffins and retcons. I get that this is why you added "if they manage not to mess it up", but I just don't see that being possible.

LOTR: The Third Age, just to see it redone in modern console graphics would be fantastic, or maybe even a whole new story, set in the expanded universe of LOTR, not focusing on the battle against sauron and the Ring of Power.

Or a Soul Calibur game that had a decent story mode again, online isn't working Namco! Bring back weapon-master mode!

The series is going strong but I'd love to see Morrowind redone with recent-gen everything.
