Game series you'd like to see continued via kickstarter

Kickstarter has its limits. I can't see any 100 million dollar budgets appearing via Kickstarter. Not any time soon, anyway. It's good for resurrecting retro projects like Wasteland 2, not so good for things that would essentially be continuations of series with AAA production values. Alpha Protocol, for example, feels like a game that would be way too expensive to do via Kickstarter, and we basically already got a proper Alpha Protocol via DE:HR anyway.
I'd like to see a PROPER JA2 reboot via kickstarter. How's that? New campaign, some new mercs mixed in with the old, a crisp new UI, high resolutions, the works. I think that would be manageable for a couple million.

Lots of people don't know about it. Which is a tragedy as it's one of the best game series of all time. OF ALL TIME!!!

The thing about some of these games is that they'd just require so much money to make there isn't a hope of kickstarting them. I mean Notch wanted to fund Psychonauts 2 right? And then he found out the minimum price was $13 million. Even the doublefine kickstarter didn't get close to that.
$2 million is nice. But if you pay people I don't know $40 000 a year (very rough conversion from UK average wage)? Then $2 million is enough to employ 25 people for 2 years. You couldn't even do a cheap Dungeon Keepers 3 with that these days. There's definitely no room for QA.
Now me I'd like to see a kickstarter for Obsidian, Chris Avellone in particular getting involved in an old-school low budget written CRPG...
