I want another Alpha Centauri.

Yes I know we have Civ 5, but part of what made AC great was the underlying narrative and creative characters, which isn't present at all in Civ's historical caricatures.

That and we've been lacking in good strategy games lately.

Legacy of Kain is a must.

Unfortunately, we can't have Tony Jay because he is currently in places that we cannot find.

And so is this mothafucka'

Lots of people don't know about it. Which is a tragedy as it's one of the best game series of all time. OF ALL TIME!!!

GOD DAMMIT I want to throw my balls at people!!!
Kudos to you Mr., I never thought anyone would remember this lovely relic.

To the original question. Planescape: FREAKING Torment. I don't care if I play a damn dabus or a brick in a wall, I just want more of the same. Delivered next morning please.

Excluding the obvious answer (hell, I have 4 physical copies of PS:T), the game I would welcome the most is Grim Fandango.
Shame these games aren't made anymore. But I guess it's the same that noone made a sequel to Casablanca.

Kickstarter has its limits. I can't see any 100 million dollar budgets appearing via Kickstarter. Not any time soon, anyway. It's good for resurrecting retro projects like Wasteland 2, not so good for things that would essentially be continuations of series with AAA production values.
On the other hand, think of it as the new pre-order. Put in $20, if enough people do, the game gets funded, you get a 1 time use code that gives you $20 off the game at new release price. Pretty sure that'd work, 'specially if there's a refund if total not reached by date policy.

Star Wars Battlefront 3. Pandemic closed literally right before they were finished with the game, and I'm pretty sure Rebellion picked it up, and hasn't done shit with it.

Dungeon Keeper 3

I would like Tim Schafer to make it. I think that Doublefine would do well with a non-traditional RTS with a sense of humour.

Unfortunately the name was sold to a no-name Chinese developer :C
Dungeon Keeper was great.
I second the notion. There is a similar game out called "Dungeons" which is very similar, but instead of building casinos and such to keep your monsters happy, you place treasure to 'reward' heroes before you knock them out and torture them. :)

System Shock 3. I can only imagine all the wonders that modern technology can bring to System Shock. I know that Irrational could get the writing down, I just hope that they keep the actual RPG/specialization elements, rather than Bioshock where by the end you're skilled in pretty much everything. Not that it wasn't fun, it just didn't feel very challenging.
Of course, the writers will also have to give an explanation as to why Tri-Optimum is still in business with 2 nearly apocalyptic situations and a LOT of dead employees under their belt.

Beyond Good and Evil 2,
Psychonauts,
Half Life 3,
Stubbs the Zombie 2,
Wasteland remake.

Edit: Anachronox 2 and No One Lives Forever 3?
I doubt that Valve needs help to make HL3. I definitely agree with No One Lives Forever 3!

The original, Blood Omen: Legacy of Cain would be an awesome high def/improved combat remake, the latest games in the series just weren't as open.

Advent Rising brought back memories. Hasn't entered my mind for a while but definitely a good game.

For me:

Sub Culture
King of Dragon Pass
Darklands!!!!!!!1one

Honorable Mention:
Dungeon Keeper like game. I say honorable mention because if Peter Molyneux was asking for kickstarter funds, no way in hell I'd donate and I doubt he'd be able to not f*** it up. But just about anyone else with a pedigree I'd probably give money to make this.

I don't really support this Kickstarter trend that Double Fine started, but I'd like to see Ace Attorney Investigations 2 localized in the US, though. It'd be continuing a series...in the US.

I mean, how much could that cost? The game is basically made.
Also how does it work exactly. I mean, they're basically looking for donations right? What it comes down to is that we'd be paying for it to be published, and then we'd be paying again to buy the game. So we're like investors but our return would be to spend more money. Other than small indie developers or risky, niche, pet projects, I don't think it should be a big thing.

But yeah, not necessarily through kickstarter, but Gotcha Force 2. On a handheld.

Not entirely. When they ask for money, they're basically asking for a certain amount of cash by a certain day. Let's say $60,000 in 30 days.

You pledge your money, at the end of 30 days, they take a total, if it's 60k or more, you get charged, if not, the project is dropped.

As far as paying twice, no, there are different tiers of donations. Most projects give you the end-product free if you donate a minimum, usually less than you'd have to pay at launch. You'll get a free copy of Wasteland 2 if you donate as little as $15, $75 nets you a boxed copy, a digital copy so you don't have to open your box, and some extra goodies.

It's still a risk, I admit. There's no guarantee that the end product will be worth it, there have been a few launch disasters and games so bad that Steam refused to carry, but everything shipped, there weren't any projects that fell apart completely.
