I remember a friend of mine ran out of cash in the original pokemon games and couldn't afford to go to the safari zone to get the HMs necessary for plot advancement.
I... I didn't think that was possible...

I need to go re-evaluate my life.
Easy. battle all of the trainers, buy items with the money, and then use them all. You just have to suck at the game to do it.
I remember breaking Ruby by healing at the dewford pokemon centre, beating the 5th gym leader (whivh stops you from being able to get the boat to dewford town) then teleporting back there with an abra. Fortunately I did this with a friends game, so I didn't need to restart. If you really look, there are a number of ways to break the older pokemon games.
Yeah, RBGY are fucking glitchy as hell. Combat's super broken, too.

I remember the time i decided to screw with missingno. RIP my save.

OT: The first time i played Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon (NDS) and Caeda died, so i missed out on several recruit-able characters.

In between disc 1 and 2 of Resident Evil: Code Veronica on the Dreamcast. I didn't save enough ammo for the battle with the (Tyrant?), and whenever I ran out he dominated my face whenever I tried to finish him with the knife. Many, many times because I didn't want to start over. That was the day I made "multiple saves" one of the commandments.

Outside of Nabarl and maybe roger (if you like armor knights) you didn't miss anyone of value.

Basically all of the best units are beginning of chapter recruited (Ogma, Frey, Abel, Barst, Wolf, Hardin) or Marth recruited (Xane, Merric, Beck, Catria, Palla).

Well there is the always classic one in Morrowind where I sold that god damn letter to the blade guy in Balmora and didn't realize it until several hundred hours into the game when I decided it was time to start on that main quest thingy.

Yeah i restarted to make a "Recuit everyone" playthrough, so its ok.
Im currently doing a "minimalist" playthrough (on H5 difficulty) with
Marth
Abel
Cain
Gordin
Caeda/Shiida
Ogma
Lena
Julian
Navarre/Nabarl
Wolf
Sedgar
Radd
Minerva
Beck
Palla
Catria
Of course, an action replay always helps.

Good luck, man. I'm struggling on my H3 run through. At least H5 probably isn't as hard as Lunatic+ in FE13.

In Fallout New Vegas I had a save at one point where I couldn't go 10 steps before it would completely crash. I went to an earlier save and...welll, it still froze up a lot but not like that.

I wouldnt know if its hard or not, seeing as I've hacked all my units to prestige lv20 by now.

EDIT: And i have maxed stats on the silver weapons everybody has.

I couldn't be the first level (I only had Jagen and Marth left to fight the boss. turns out javelins are your friends). Early game bosses become ridiculously hard to fight. Most of the enemies are individually stronger than your units and they have A ranks in their weapons.
