for me, it's Hotel Dusk: Room 215. everyone i know says that it's just a book, and there's too much reading and not enough gameplay, but i love that game.

For me its Crysis. Everybody I know (with some brains that is) say that its just pretty graphics. To me it was a really good shooter and with a side dish of great graphics. The nanosuit and the free exploration (although that was ruined after the aliens arrived) were so much fun. It was definitely not just a generic shooter.

Too human
I actually really enjoyed the game. I would have loved it even more with a traditional control scheme but it wasn't bad for what it was.

Halo I love it with a fiery passion.

Uper Mario Sunshine, everyone seems to thinks it sucks but I think it was original fun and had better graphics than 75% of all Wii games do now even though it was one of the first Gamecube games

Dark Sector, i thought it was pretty cool.
I agree. It had some cool ideas, and I liked the gameplay quite a bit, even if it was repetitive.
As for me, I'd say S.T.A.L.K.E.R. It's incredibly atmospheric, even if there are alot of bugs.

Not so much now, but Zelda: Wind Waker. When it first hit most of the press was slamming it for art direction and it seemed most people were happy to run with whatever the professionals were saying. I loved it, though.

Away from that nothing really springs to mind. I really really enjoyed Fable 2 and have played through it a whole bunch of times, despite most people seeming to find it really average, but I don't think I've honestly played anything people have truly slammed as being honest-to-goodness crap.

I second the Too Human thing. While it wasn't the magnum opus Silicon Knights promised it'd be, it was still pretty decent entertainment. Also, Fallout Tactics. I'm the only person I know who actually played for more than twenty minutes.

The Searchbar game, apparently.
Go type that phrase in, it yields nothing, this thread is fine. If you don't have anything to contribute, don't post.
Whoa there, nobody likes a grouch.
I don't see it as grouchy to stand up for the new guy, escpecially seeing as his post was fine. Searchbar nazi's are rarely needed, but in this case, there is no recent thread with this topic at all.

Fire Emblem. Some people I know HATE Fire Emblem. Others (very few) like it. Others like it, but they haven't actually played ANY games in the series and base all of their knowledge of it off of the Smash Bros. games. You know, the same people who pair up Marth and Ike in horrendous Fanfics?
