Game that everyone hates but you

Harry Potter 1&2 on the GBC Harry Potter 3 on GBA and Harry Potter 1-3 on the PC most people seem to dislike movie based games but these are cool the GBC/A games are RPG,s and the PC games are third person shooters with alot of exploring (dont play the GBA versions of HP1&2 they are just platformers and nothing special)

pretty much this. that and Phantom Crash, not sure if everyone hated it, but apparently nobody cared about it.

Apparently, the entire Metal Gear series, especially Metal Gear Solid 4. The gameplay was good and the story was entertaining. Seems no one has the attention span to sit through a decent story or do anything other than run-and-gun when given the choice between that or masterfully blending in with your environment. I guess MGS4 is just too ninja for all the loud pirates who love to obnoxiously barrel in with six revolvers and a minigun sticking out of their belts. The game was made easier with the run-n-gun because too many people complained about the difficulty of stealth and how easy it was to lose a full-on firefight. Well here you go, doesn't taste so good now that it's in your mouth, does it?

That aside, another example is the duo of RE4 and 5. No zombies? WAA!!! No Barrett? WAAA!!! Actually being able to aim your freaking gun? Who the h311 would actually want to do that?! Granted, for the skilled player ammo was far too common. That's why you go straight to Professional mode as soon as it gets too easy! Problem solved! Now ammo is as rare as you want it, and the next minor baddie will probably eat your face off. Stop complaining and finish that crow before it gets cold.

Every problem I've seen people have with well-made games seems to be solved in one simple little acronym: PEBCAK. Seriously. You're doing it wrong, stop writing the developer hate mail.

Dark Sector, i thought it was pretty cool.

I liked the looks of it, and I recently got it for free with this months issue of PC Powerplay.
As soon as i free some space up on my hard drive and get tv shows, comics and games put to disc and free up some space, I shall play it.

Anyway... A game that I loved was Vampire Rain: Altered Species.
Yes, everyone I know hated it, even fans of other stealth games...
The thing is, it's quite a good stealth game. It's extreme stealth though, if you are spotted, you're immediately toast, and this made the game very unbalanced and hard.
I won't lie to you Escapists, it was a hard game, but the story wasn't horrible, the graphics weren't great, and I enjoyed the gameplay.
Yes, the main character was a ripoff of snake and sam fisher combined, but the game was still quite enjoyable.
I was expecting to hate it, and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't.

Fire Emblem. Some people I know HATE Fire Emblem. Others (very few) like it. Others like it, but they haven't actually played ANY games in the series and base all of their knowledge of it off of the Smash Bros. games. You know, the same people who pair up Marth and Ike in horrendous Fanfics?

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (One of my favorite Zeldas). Do I have bad taste, or is everyone else just an idiot? Or do they just "have different opinions" from me?

Well, if they didn't like Wind Waker for any reason besides the boring sailing sections, then they're idiots.

I actually loved the sailing sections... :S

Resident Evil series until 4. I guess that everyone hates it because everyone seems to think that RE4 is god even though it has so many problems it should have never gotten a rating over 6.5 out of 10.

Mirrors Edge. The enemy's and level design could be a tad annoying at times, but once you got running, the fluidity made for a brilliant experience.

I am relieved that I am not the only person in the world who likes that game.

Most of my friends/acquaintances/people I know don't like Half-Life 2 or the Half-Life series at all. There's also DW: Gundam 2, and I only have one friend who likes Unreal Tournament (one of them enjoyed it, but then hated it for the sake of being a fanboy twat, the Halo 3-loving prick...Halo 2 was better)

Apparently not that many people like Frontlines: fuel of war, but that may be because not many people have played on it due to bad advertising.
Ive only met a couple of people on this whole site who like it.
And i dont know why. in my opinion its one of the best FPS ever. more than just mindless death matches, theres actually tactics and strategy involved.
