Yeah, the Dark Souls 2 trailer is pretty damn perfect 
The Skyrim trailer was pretty damn awesome, although that was mostly down to the superb soundtrack.

Unfortunately most of my favourite trailers tend to have a far better atmosphere than they games they are for.
Here are the cinematic trailers for the Gears of War series:
I mean seriously, they could have easily taken the games in the direction the trailers (and the extended universe) head, but they went for the "dudebro" approach.

I like this place.
And I found everything in that trailer, in the game. It be the Daedalus references, the topic of transhumanism, the future, augmentations, the Cyberpunk style, everything really.

And Dead Island deserves a mention. Shame the actual game was so different in tone.

Dat music! Just... such a good choice of soundtrack, I really hope Small Faces are on the in game radio. The way it really kicks into gear just as the heist gets started. Ah man, really really gets me pumped for this game. Probably more so than the character introduction trailer.
Halo always had amazing trailers. From the gameplay rendered tease we got when Halo 2 was announced ("Save Earth: In Progress"
) to the beautiful Deliver Hope for Reach. I can't argue with Daystar's choice either, even if (again) rose tinted glasses make me prefer the announcement trailer over the gameplay trailer. Purely on the grounds of excitement generated.
It's not technically a trailer but what I love about it is that it not only announced Halo 3 but it did so in such a massively dick-way. You just killed Tartarus as The Arbitor and are likely expecting to kill Truth as The Chief since hey, this was the first Halo to have Boss Fights and it would be great to end the game as Master Chief, over the Earth and kicking ass...but no. As an ending to Halo 2 it's ass but as confirmation that Halo 3 is in the works it's pretty great. Kinda like Nick Fury in Iron Man only without a pesky ending for the main character.

Why, oh why did you change this Digital Extremes? What was so much better about the new direction you gave to Dark Sector that made you scrap the original and turn it into "Warframe?"

Well it might not have had a real game behind it, but either way, the E3 2001 Duke Nukem Forever trailer is one of my all-time favourites.

Gotta admit, Witcher 2 had some really good trailers.
Probably my favourite though is this ancient relic of bygone eras; informative, fun to watch, badass soundtrack, actual gameplay, and story snippets alike all in one fantastically well edited little video.
