Every vehicle ever in Grand Theft Auto 4. Even the most basic cars handle like bouncy-castle shopping trolleys.
Aw, c'mon, mate. If you can drive in GTA IV, you can drive in every racing game ever! It's true! It's like extra practice!

Every vehicle in Crackdown.

Thankfully using them during the actual game is completely optional and useless because you run at about 35 mph and can jump about 30 ft in the air with little trouble. It's actually faster to parkour across rooftops than drive...

Planes in any Battlefield game. I'm actually pretty good with helicopters when not being rushed. Also, the Nikita Missile Launcher from MGS 1, MGS 2, MGS TS. I would complain about Rex, but the whole thing was simply too awesome to put down.

I nominate the Mako, closely followed by motorbikes in the GTA games.
- Mako > Self explanatory, handled like soggy butter
- GTA Bikes > Difficult to stear and if you didn't have the reaction time of an fighter pilot, you'd be turned into Pavement Pizza faster than you can say "Hey Niko! It's your cousin!"

any game that features controls for a tank that dont allow me to aim at something and whilst i turn the base of the tank and the turret move as well.
You have to stop entirely to shoot something 100+ yards away.

If your aiming at something and you ride on top of a small hill rising 12 inches out of the ground,it totally screws up your shot.(BFBC2)

The Borderlands vehicles. Died too quickly, and controlled like a giant heap of ass.
Eh, I didn't mind the Borderlands runners too much. The only problem I had with them was sometimes when I needed to enter on the fly I'd wind up in the gunner seat because I was 2 centimeters to the left when I hit the enter button.

With the GTAIV cars, I hated them in the beginning, but then started to like them once I got used to them. It was just weird having to use the brakes so much, especially since I had just finished playing SR2, a game that uses brakes in the same way a cat uses a jacuzzi. The motorcycles in GTA, on the other hand, were a grand display of shoddy vehicles if I ever saw one.

So I have to admit that I didn't mind the Mako to much actually.

My fat person in a 3 wheeled shopping cart award would have to go to the cars from Borderlands, not sure if its just me, but any battle that requires me to use one I just get out of the car and do it on foot.

i've just been bought dark void and the saucers in it are a piece of shit to handle...
so i was just thinking what games have vehicles that people have hated driving....?

the mako on mass effect is an obvious 1 and as i said before the saucers from dark void....
The Mako was not all that difficult to drive once you learnt that (on xbox 360) no matter which way your camera faced, it would drive in the direction you pushed your stick to go. Once you figured that out, it was quite easy to drive.
As for the pc version that was even easier as you could just keep pressing W and it would go in whichever way the wheels were facing (and you could turn with A and D) while firing freely with the mouse. I personally had no complaints about the Mako in the game (and the people like you) are the reason Mass Effect II was awful.
I had very few complaints about the first game, but I doubt I'll ever play II again.
I also own BOTH the 360 and PC versions, so I know what I'm talking about.

My vote easily goes to Red Faction Guerilla. The vehicles in that game were horrid, didn't have the correct weight, are so slow to accelerate, and the "precision driving" is just hell. Worst thing in that game is easily the vehicles. Don't believe me? Try completing all the professional times in the car reciever races.
I'm still trying to get the platinum trophy for that game.

Am I the only person here who didn't hate the Mako?

Anyways...

Pretty much any vehicle in Frontlines: Fuel of War sucked to drive. Game was fun, though.
You're not. I was fine with it, but you have to admit that the excessively mountainous planets were a chore to traverse. Add on the repetitiveness of the sidequests and then we understand how those who are less tolerant will hate it.

I can't see how people complain about the guns though. You're in what is effectively a tank. If you're so close that the gun doesn't reach low enough, you're using it wrong. At least run the other guy over.

Agree with the majority, the Mako. It breaks physics far too often and the weapon aiming was horrible.

After reading the second page, I have to ask. Can people find a complaint about the Mako that makes more sense? "Handling"? It handles fine. It goes forward when I want it to go forward and turns when I want it to turn. It just needed turbo boosters on the back so it could climb mountains better. You have 6 wheel drive and Eezo for landing the thing, but you didn't figure to put something in for those (very many) planets with 80 degree slopes.

I didn't put in a real example yet (forgot). Cars in GTA:SA. Sloppy and can't turn properly at all, sometimes even when I'm obeying the speed limits.

I have to go with the cars from Just Cause 2, and the attack helicopters in bad company 2.
