Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

It seems everyone hated the angry prince and the metal soundtrack but it's my favorite one in the series and always was.

And yep... I loved the music in it... I!!! STAND ALOONE!!!!!

lol.

Played through 'Kane & Lynch' simply because the two guys are pretty well fleshed out. They blast 99% of nowaday game heroes to space.
Beat me to it. Loved Kane & Lynch, though I can understand why so many people hated it.

Final Fantasy XII got good reviews but it gets trashed in forums regularly, so I'm not sure if it counts for the purposes of this thread. But I thought it was the best in the series in terms of game play and art direction.

Definitely, without a doubt Lair. I absolutely loved Lair and aside from having to control with the sixaxis i can't understand why this game got such bad ratings.

Seems like you can't swing a dead cat on without hitting somebody who bitches about it being bad or "over rated". Well I love it, so SCREW YOU!!
Same Here people just hate it because it's popular.

(edit)
And FFXI people hate but i like it because it's more dificult than other MMO's sure you need a party to do 97% of the things in the game but it's fun and you have to socialize with other people eventually!

The Sonic Adventure games were pretty fun, but everything after that was shit.

And not a game, per se, but I didnt hate Navi from OoT like everyone else did. At least, I dont remember hating her. I have the memory of a whatchamacallit. Maybe I did hate her and forgot. Whatever.

Another one was Half Life Opposing Force, i dont know many people that like it for some reason
Rather ironic you should say that. Somebody posted a poll a month or so ago asking about favorite Half Life expansion and quite a few people mentioned Opposing Force.
Sweet. It was a great game, but sadly, the peeps around my area dont notice a good game when they see it

I don't recall JSRF being actively hated, just forgotten. It got a lot of glowing reviews and everyone who has actually played the game loved it.
Yea, I noticed that too. I guess the normal gamer dudes/chicks didnt latch to its uniquity, which is sad. Surprising, considering it had so much going for it

Also, the Lego (insert various licensed property) games. It amazes me how they can take something so painfully simple and make it fun and addicting.
Same here, though if I say that in school people will come and chainsaw me...

Yeah, this is gonna sound weird... Blitz Ball. I didn't really like FFX much at all, but be damned if I don't get addicted to Blitz Ball. I find that I play the actual game solely to get gil to pay my players' contracts. I've only ever beat the full game once, and that was strictly out of spite, but I've played countless hours of Blitz Ball.
I know what you mean, that was just such fun. before playing that i never knew what people who were obsessed with sports sims went on about but that was just fantastic. Wolrds best minigame

Resident Evil Outbreak. Glitches, bad online support and slow load times aside, I genuinely found it a fun experience. Where else can you deprive your heavily injured mate of green herbs? Where else can you leave them to die by luring the level's 'Nemesis' equivalent straight to them? Where else can you shoot them with healing pills, as counter-productive as it may sound?

My favorite moment will always be when everyone hides in separate lockers in a room from an enemy. Everyone that is, except Mark, whose fat ass won't fit. Poor, poor Mark.

Jet Set Radio Future, but i havent heard anyone else talk about it at all
Holy shit. I absulutely loved that game. Thank you for mentioning it.
Welcome, one of the greatest games ever
I just bought it on ebay, along with a dreamcast and jet grind radio.

because of the demo, and a crappy emulated version of jet grind I played years ago on my PC.

that series is amazing. (if you like it, try watching air gear. they are cut from the same cloth)
Good idea, ill check it out. I wish i had a dreamcast and JSGR

Alot of people seem to hate the Burnout series. I'm not looking for realism. just a good time.

Despite it being low budget, poorly rated, dubious quality, cheesy, buggy and all sorts of other things, I've been enjoying Two Worlds [http://www.amazon.com/Two-Worlds-microsoft-xbox-360/dp/B000NJH6YG/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1237333461&sr=8-1] a great deal more that I enjoyed Oblivion. For all that Oblivion did RIGHT there's several grievous flaws in it that make it hard for me to want to play it. Two Worlds on the other hand recognizes exactly what it is which is formulaic hack-n-slash but more importantly has the right combination of game play elements and more importantly LACKS the bad faults of Oblivion and has as a result turned it some sort of perverse game-crack for me. I just got it two days ago and I think I've already sunk more than 20 hours in it, so yeah...

You said exactly what I was thinking! I love the whole Final Fantasy series (sans 11 and XII), and anybody who feels the need to voice their disapproval can play in traffic.

Also, I still play the original Pokemon every once in awhile.
Same here, basically. I kinda say 7 is overrated, but not in the same sweepingly generalized way most people do, I just mean that its been elevated so much to basically FF7= GAWD OF GAMZ, and I think thats wrong. I like 7 though. Also, 11, though plenty of people hate it, once I got to lvl 30 and unlocked Blue mage and Samurai, it was history, awesome. 12, I admit kind of makes me sad... maybe if vaan had more to do with the story or balthier was the player character(since he was already "The Leading Man"). I want to like it so badly. And screw anyone who says pokemon games suck, lol, it can be addicting as hell.

In conclusion. _>

FF11 is something I left a while ago, yet it is still saved in my MMO folder, should the urge to return strike a fourth time...

I'd say the Flash game "Closure." I love that game so much, and yet everyone I've linked it so far is bored by it. XD
