Wii version has best of both worlds.EllEzDee said:Resi 4. - The PS2 version had longer load times and uglier graphics than the GC original, though it had an extra level![]()

YES. I loved Timesplitters so much. Everyone posted the more major games I was going to mention so I would like to say that you should definitely give Conflict Desert Strom II: Back to Baghdad and Geist a go. Conflict Desert Storm II is a great game if you like strategic cooperative play, and Geist is a really interesting and different game where you are a ghost and you possess things/people/animals in order to try and get your body back (the military was trying to make you into a super soldier).random980 said:TIME SPLITTERS 2 best fps ever, and it even has a map maker for multi![]()
These! ^ Those games are pure gold. Best multiplayer experience ever! Also any of the Star Wars Rogue Squadrons and Star Wars Battlefront. XDIrridium said:Timesplitters 2 and Timesplitters Future Perfect.
Best games ever made in the history of games.
This is definitely the best list I've seen. My favorites are Mario Sunshine, Paper Mario, and Pikmin 1 and 2. I didn't really like Luigi's Mansion, but still get it because of how unique it is.MetalDooley said:Can't go wrong with any of the following
Zelda:Wind Waker
Super Mario Sunshine
Paper Mario:Thousand Year Door
Smash Bros:Melee
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2:Rogue Leader(or alternatively go for Rogue Squadron 3:Rebel Strike which includes RS2 as a bonus co-op mode)
Metroid Prime 2
Luigi's Mansion
Pikmin 1&2
Eternal Darkness:Sanity's Requiem
1080 Avalanche
A thousand times this. PSO 1+2 were amazing, and I still play them to this day on occasion. Try and get the Plus version if you can, but thats normally about 80$ online...Aylaine said:If you can find it, Phantasy Star Online Episode 1 & 2 is definitely a good game. I had my fondest memories of my gamecube due to that game. xDFirstToStrike said:I'm a collector of previous-generation game consoles, and I need some good games for it.
Right now, I've got:
Metroid Prime
F-Zero GX
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Any suggestions?
Inferior hardware? The Cube was the middleground between the PS2 and the Xbox in graphical prowess. PS2 being the weakest of that generation, Xbox being the most powerful.Annoying Turd said:MGS:Twin Snakes is a faithful remake of the original MGS, and the surreal, pure platformer levels where Mario loses the FLUDD make Mario Sunshine worth a try.
Tales of Symphonia was the only JRPG I ever got to play on the gamebox, and it hooked me into the genre.
I don't know of many horror games on the gamecube, but Resident Evil 4 immediately comes to mind and there are some gamecube ports of classic RE games I remember owning.
Whether you love the fantasy racing genre or not, pick F-Zero GX. The 'Very Hard' "Story Mode" (cheesy story of Captain Falcon saving the planet) presents interesting challenges once you've learned to play the game properly (i.e. abusing the game engine through "snaking", making your machine ridiculously fast), and you may appreciate the fast paced racing and the techno-rock music (F-Zero X players might miss the older rock OST). I think there's a Mario Kart game for the cube as well, "Double Dash"
The original Animal Crossing is a great 'stoner' game (I don't know what genre it would fall into) to kill time.
Don't get the cube and forget to get the classics like Smash Bros. Melee, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, Pikmin, and Luigi's Mansion with it. All the above games made me love the gamecube more than the xbox and the PS2 despite its inferior hardware. I've missed tons of great games for the gamecube that I'm sure the more savvy members of the community will nevertheless suggest for you.
