I don't know why, but I can't imagine Yahtzee as anything else other than Zero Punctuation.

it was ok.

1. more often than not, yug & matt got really offended by yahtzee's smart-ass comments (i don't exactly blame them either: "you should hang your head in shame", "we don't need your life story, man" were hilarious until you saw how agitated they were by it)

2. i noticed yug looks and acts like a friend of mine from college. he was gay. i'm not saying yug is too or that it's a problem; i'm just telling you what i noticed. they both like graphic design too? GASP! bring on the stereotypes!!

3. the skits were at least interesting, if not hilarious. though i'm not a gamer, i just love the next-gen graphics, so i can't pick apart these skits the way, say, i can pick apart a cover tune played by one of my favourite bands, so to say any more would be biased.

4a. i think it's nice having two cheerful nerds mixed with the slightly psychotic angry one. it helps add balance to the panel, since yahtzee's got enough shit-flinging power for 2 people.

and while we're (i'm) on the subject ...

4b. i'm finding the zero punctuation reviews to be so face-to-the-shit-cannon one-sided (even the positive ones), having yug and matt give input adds some positive balance to the show, rather than simply nit-picking a game to death. even if the only feature they really liked was a designing element and not the game itself.

but i never watched ZP for recommendations: i watch them for a laugh

Then they shouldn't be on the same show as him; those type of comments are the reason he has a huge following.

No where near as good as ZP.
But was enjoyable to watch except for Matt, i was recently speaking to Yug about if they had had any interest and he explained that they had been approached by a couple of networks and we were discussing trying get the show aired on PulseTV in the UK.

It is a good, new and interesting show and what you have to realise is if it carries on which i believe it will they will improve on their presenting and will start to relax. All of them are not use to showing their faces only voices so it will take sometime for them to get use to it.

1: I actually.. really.. wasn't that impressed. And I already HATE one of the presenters with a passion.. they have only done a single pilot and I hate him already. (well ok, dislike.)
2: I think Yahtzee is trying his hardest to not control the show. Because seriously, he is the dominate personality there. And it would be quite easy for him to take control of the show. Matt may give him a run for his money, but Matt needs to rehearse his lines better, so when he is doing a presentation he doesn't umm.. ahh.. and fall back of filer lines all the time while trying to coherently organize his thoughts. It comes of as very under prepared and unpolished.
3: Candy is quite literally what they said it is.. a give away prize.. Its a necessity for this sort of show isn't it?

I thought it was great. The skits weren't that good and they should work on it, but it's only a pilot!

I liked it. Matt was a bit tense in front of the camera, but he had a great rant. Also the skits werent that funny, not saying that they shouldnt have skits though. Anyway I liked it because it wasnt just about reviewing games and because those guys actually seemed like gamers themselves (in contrary to shows like the bonus round, where everyone on the show is just telling the public that they really liked games that have got goty awards on gametrailers or saying other things that noone cares about). Also they have some humor and the intro was kickass.

There is room for improvement, but as already stated it is only a pilot episode.

i think its ok, Yahtzee seems to be babysitting the other two hosts, and the only funny guy on there is Yahtzee. both matt and yug are the least charasmatic of the bunch and just seem alittle boring.

i liked it, i think it certaintly had enough info in it (e.g. reviews), i saw nothing wrong with the skits, and to be honest, if you didnt find it entertaining then your standards are probably set to high, especially if you consider yourself a gamer. having read the thread of course.

This show seems too serious or something. It doesn't feel as natural as ZP.

The show needs some polish IMO. None of them really get their personalities across. That's a very important thing for a show like this. That's one of the reasons Mythbusters is so successful but all the knockoff shows suck - the people on them are very dry and bland.

Everyone here knows that Yahtzee is good at ripping something a new asshole. Matt seems more generous. They should play that up with Yahtzee tearing into the bad, Matt praising the good, and some funny back and forth between them with Yug mediating the extremes. They actually seem to be doing this to some degree, but its very subtle. They need to expand on it more.

1. Loved it. If it was on TV, I would go out of my way to watch it as often as possible. That Master Chief stuff was hilarious. I just thought that they almost picked on Matt for being the only really big nerd on the show.

2. I don't think Yahtzee was socially awkward, just a bit of a dick. He just interrupts whenever he has a thought... Then again, he is the funniest guy on the show, I'd say.

3. Nothing.

It looks good...ish.

Needs to be improved before I would watch it regulary. But the pilot is enough to make me give it a chance and it has real potential.

I thought it was pretty good. Not the "20 minutes of meh and 5 minutes of lulz" some people have said.
They could do better on their skits.
I think Yahtzee did very well, for the type of guy he is. He's a better devil's advocate than Adam Sessler or Morgan Webb.

1) I thought it was ok, it could've been worse. Needs less of the other two acting as idiots to be comic foil for Yahtzee's straight man (who needs to look more interested in the project)

2) It was odd seeing Yahtzee work with other people but it could work if he looked like he was into it. As it stands he just looks very bored.

3) The right candy can provide vital nutrients for marathon gaming sessions.

After watching it once more after a few months I still think its really good. Re-runs just would not work, With how fast the gaming world travels.
