All games are in my top floor bedroom
Fat, I wish. 95 lbs 5'7" for 16
Not so much lazy but unmotivated
Having a fat sword and a castle would just look stupid
Embarass myself, who hasn't 4 times a week

I'm guilty of being lazy, and pretty chubby. Size 10 and snug. :(

My computer was in the basement for a very long time, but when we got our second computer years back, there was no room for it. Finally brought it up to my room this year (though it's sitting on my dresser since there still is no room). I would of brought it up much earlier, but our ethernet modem is confined to a telephone outlet, as well as something else, in the basement.

Now we have two ugly black cords running up two flights of stairs, but I'm happy.

Technically I should fit this stereotype however the fact that I run like 7 miles a day keeps me at a lean 6'0" and 135lbs.

"The stereotype of a gamer is we are fat, lazy, we live in a basement with foam swords and a castle, and can always end up embarrassing ourselves. But I want to know is this true do some gamers really do this or is it just a false stereotype?"

-Skinny as a twig.
-Pretty active overall, used to run a lot, at least. Nowadays it's more school and shit.
-My basement is unlivable, my computer is in a separate room.
-I do not have foam sword or a foam castle, but it seems kinda cool.

-I can end up embarrassing myself to other games due to my inconsistency at games.
-I can end up embarrassing myself to non-gamers due to my apathy towards most other forms of entertainment (there's only like 2 authors I like, I hardly watch movies, American Idol is terrible, etc, etc)

So, yeah, no. I certainly don't fit that stereotype, but I don't think that's even the stereotype anymore at all. And even if you do, it doesn't make you less of a person.

Maybe for WoW players, but over a couple years, that will change for the better too.

Besides, I don't see how "real-life" living conditions affect anything.
Or penis size.
Or post count.
Or how hot my girlfriend is.
Or having a girlfriend at all.

"lol u nub u liv in ur parentz basment n ply dis gam al day"

^ Common response to when I kill someone.

Even if it were true, I fail to see how it affects me or you at all. All I know is that my shot hit and you dropped dead.

sadly the answer is yes
That reeks like a stale Something Awful joke that was funny for a few minutes in 1999. In fact, I'm pretty sure that it is Fragmaster doing his nerd skit.

Nope, this is not me.

I'm sick of these stupid stereotypes, not that most gamers are doing anything to reverse it.

Fat? No. Tubby? A bit.
Lazy? Extremely so.
Live in a basement? No, I live in my room, and have no "foam swords" or "castles".
Can I always end up embarrassing myself? For a joke, absolutely. I believe that dignity can be compromised for the sake of humor.

its true... there are people like that who go on the school computers and play starcraft, and they cramp my style because i am known to like gaming and do a lot of work in the computer lab, but dont take gaming to that rediculouse point
Whats wrong with Starcraft?

BTW I'm not fat or lazy... or for that matter LARP. I am awkward though (but around EVERYONE male or female)

I know I'm fat and lazy, but I don't have foam swords or a castle or live in the basement. I live in a dorm room with a floor mattress and a pile of trash. I do have a friend who is also fat and lazy, and while he does sleep in his bedroom he spends the rest of the time awake in his basement playing PC games behind a fort made of guitar amplifiers. No foam swords, tho, so consider this myth
