Ya I got the gamer logic. if I know the right way to go in an RPG I go the opposite way when I reach a fork in the path.

I know what you mean - I just have this instinct to always go off the path, because that's where you always find the goodies hidden somewhere. I also have this mentality where I horde things like ammo and health - a fantastic example actually IS Bioshock, I pretty much used only the wrench throughout my Survivor playthrough, just in case I suddenly got terrible at the game and needed all my health and guns. Oh, and it might just be my own personality, but I have this urge to get 100% completion in all the games I play which have such an option (this has become particularly time consuming for me with the whole trophy system for the PS3)

I like to think of it more as Gamer Sense. I.e. just 'knowing' when a boss battle is coming up because of the level design or appearance of resupplies. Just 'knowing' there's something hidden right behind you if you'd just turn around when you enter a new area in a game with a fixed camera system.

3. Baldur's Gate. I've learnt that ive I follow the way I should go I end up standing on a trap and half my party explodes.
YOU MUST GATHER YOUR PARTY BEFORE VENTURING FORTH.

These words will haunt me till the day I die. I nearly exploded when I saw the text box "Gather your party and venture forth?" pop up in Dragon Age.

once when i was playing d&d:

DM: at the end of the hallway are three doors. the middle door is locked. the other two doors lead to the left and the right.

Me: I go through the left door and hold down the switch in there, while the cleric enters the right door and simultaneously holds down the identical switch that's in the other room.

DM: >_<

He gave up on including puzzles pretty soon after that.

Gamer logic: I can save the world, or I can spend a day fishing.

Oh Link, if the story wasn't programmed Ganon would rule the world.

Even everyone's beloved Cloud spend time at the arcade.

Most popular bit of "Gamer's Logic," as determined by the most common logical fallacy to find in games?

"I can screw up all I like. I'll just hit QuickLoad."

This.
Of course, if the guy behind him is also a gamer, he's reaching for the rocket launcher button.
He just ran into the rainbow diamond thing and got some green shells, mario kart kicks ass

Unfortunatley for him I picked up some explosive bananas awhile back.

Unfortunately this is forza and so will be knocked off the track by the person behind with screams of "why did you break so early".

I will say it again, gamers logic is NOT knowing when a boss battle is about to begin.

Use my crappy ammo and my worst items first, cos I will probably need my phaser gun of ultimate destruction for some oversized glob of crapola that appears at the end of the level.

I do the "search everywhere first before going to where the game wants you" logic tatic in every game. Helps you find guns, collectables etc

Also in a fps, shoot the guy who will do the most damage. An example this morning was on MW2. Two guys run in, one boasting a LMG and one with akimbo P90s. Me sat in the corner of the room with a sniper i decided to take the LMG guy down first because of two factors.
1 - Hes more acurate
2 - More damage.

The LMG guy went down quickly but the P90 man taken more bullets. If i had went for the other guy first i would of died.

I use this supposed 'Gamer Logic' in games all the time and it's a trait 'Completionists' have because of there determination to get 100%.
Wait, thats gamer logic? My friends said I had it, I always told them they just suck at games, I'm a completionist aswell, aswell as a explorer, and gamer's logic is just playing the game by thinking out side of the box? Well, damn, who the hell beats a game by doing the thing the way the developer wants? The only time I can see it being useful is in puzzle games.

In pretty much every game your base/sanctuary/hideout/whathaveyou always, always gets attacked.

Wait, thats more intuition than logic...

But still, it always happen.
