I'm no fanboy, but I think the old Final Fantasy games need a re-release. A game that needs a sequel would have to be Kameo.

I'd love to see a remake or port of Final Fantasy 7, Parasite Eve, and Vagrant Saga. Especially since PS3 can't play the old games.
FFVII is seconded. Or fifth...ed...or whatever. But the PS3 can and does play PSX games. It's only the PS2 playing that's off. (The only game I know of those you've listed is FFVII, and it's PSX.)

As has been said, Chrono Cross needs one, too. The graphics on both of these games have been making me cringe since their respective releases, and I would keep playing them if they'd only stop making my eyes bleed. (Especially FFVII.)

-Fallout 1 & 2, without bugs(now THAT would be quite some work)
-Van Buren(Interplay's canceled Fallout 3), since the story seems to have been much cooler than Bethesda's(good game but disappointing story IMO)
-Warcraft 4, do I really need to motivate this one?
-Hitman 5(?), because 47 needs a chance to prove himself after the movie...

Remake - Darklands (Old ... OLD game)

Sequel - Freelancer. (Or a proper sequel to Privateer.)

What? Don't look at me that way? I'm old!

I'm not a big fan of the idea of game remakes. It's a waste of imagination, really. Instead of re-creating the same game's story and idea with shinier graphics and better game engines they could go the extra step and make it a new game inspired by the older one.

Sequels however...
Well let me explain to you something.

My N64 broke a long time ago and I don't have any of my games for it.

My gamecube barely still works, it's on life support, and my brother let one of his friends borrow my copy of Zelda: Master Quest that you could only get by pre-ordering the Wind Waker, and I never saw it again. (I still want to stab him for it.)

Ocarina is one of if not the best game of all time to me, and at this point a remake is my only hope of ever playing it again.
That's perhaps not so much a remake as a re-release or a port you require. But I do see your point, and it does have merit.

I think The Witcher and Shadow Of Colossus both deserve sequels, also a proper Baulders Gate sequel

No game deserves a remake.

As for sequels, only those continuing a storyline deserve sequels. Nothing should get the same title (Mario, Grand Theft Auto, etc.) unless they continue an ongoing story. Otherwise, the producers are just milking the franchise.
Actually there are games that deserve an and they are so old they would have to have a remake in order to put in a sequel

for example they should emake kid Icarus but with better storyline
Earthbound has an ok story but i want it to be remade
If they were to put Geno and Mallow in another game they would have to remake super mario RPG
My point is, developers are making too much money for nothing.

Psychonauts needs a sequel, Earthbound needs a DS remake/port (since Nintendo is content to just remaking their old successes) and maybe a remake of Tempest 2000?

I want to see a remake for Army Men RTS, my favourite of the Army Men series and easily one of the best console RTS' I've ever played.
Do you actually mean that or are you just joking? Cus the game got terrible reviews.
Seriously? I meant that, I had so much fun with that game. It was a few years ago, though, so maybe it was just the novelty of playing an RTS with plastic army men that made it so good for me.

I'd be interested to see Doom and Doom II remade with current graphics technology. That would be a nice piece of nostalgia for me. Remake the original music too. :)

Not just to pull a Doom III and show off the pretty stuff that ID can do with that engine.
I believe Doom 3 (or Doom cubed to be more precise) was supposed to be a remake of the original Doom. But it was bad.

Also, I second whoever said Deus Ex 1. That game was epic.

Definitely Psychonauts 2, the first was one of the best, funniest, and most bizarre games I've ever played.
