I've only ever completed GTA: Vice City... and all i got was a lousy T-shirt.

I may of completed other games, but most of the time I don't even attempt to look for for all the secrets.

I will never try to complete a game to 100% completion, as to me it is too tedious and just sucks the fun out of a game.
I bet you got all the light seeds :p

Some games are fun to do everything in, Fallout 3 had me finishing pretty much all there was to do and going right back to start all over again!

I'm a wierd obsessive completionist with Bethesda games... I need to display all my goodies in my Megaton/Skingrad house too.

It think it's called being a complete geek.

I don't think its generally worth it unless all of the side quests and things are actually fun to do.

Some tasks a game gives you as optional are either ridiculously hard, require massive amounts of time to do or are just mind numbingly boring. Whats the point if you aren't having fun doing it?

For me, I do the main story, and then any optional bits that I find fun. After all, its a game, and I don't consider wasting 10 hours finding every single [insert random item here] as 'getting my monies worth'. I got my monies worth when I did the fun parts.

There are a couple I can't remember...it's been like 6 years since I last played them. Closest I've gotten so far is everything but 1 side quest in Mass Effect (excluding DLC) and 100% free missions & 85% of the Flags in Assassin's Creed.

I've only 100% completed games from the Crash Bandicoot series. That's because I'm mostly into RPG's, and completing things from those is more of a pipe dream. Though I did get REALLY close to getting all items in Legend of Legaia at one point.

I consider an RPG to have been completed if you have raided everything the game will allow you to reach.

This being said, something like the gold chocobo BS in FFVII that almost literally equates to looking up the solution from somewhere does not count. I have no qualms with reloading a save to try and get something, but things that are not referenced in game really don't count.

Any blank spot on the map is a mark against your gaming competence.

Heh, actually I prefer games where its technically impossible (TES) but I did get 100% completion in Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland. Well, more like 600%. All 3 files, 100% on normal and hard for each. Why did I do it? Not sure. I had my gameboy next to my bed and just played it before I went to sleep most nights.
I do try to get 100% completion though, but something usually derails me for one reason or another.

Lego Star Wars 1, 2, and then I did it all over again on the Complete Saga
Super Smash Bros.
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction (So easy I shouldn't even count it)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (Including EVERY badge, I was addicted)
Battlefront 2 (Shouldn't count this either, because I may or may not have used a trainer at some point during the course of the game)
Portal (Well.. not all of the achievements...)
Some Kirby game I downloaded for a Snes emulator, I forget what it was called...

Actually, most of the games that are on here (and that I forgot to mention) had no gameplay past the initial play through. The only time consuming ones were MGS4, Lego Star Wars, Uncharted with it's myriad of trophies, and... yeah that's it.

Saint's Row 2 (Is it "Saint's" or "Saints"? The laws of grammar say "Saint's", but the box art disagrees.)

That's it. And it took 61 hours of playtime to get that. I *still* haven't gotten every achievement for it (some sidequests don't count towards the 100% mark.

I have never, EVER completed a game 100%. I think the closest I came was Lego Star Wars 2 where I got about 97%.
